Giskard Trade Assistant — the 30-day demo-account build
The Market's Free demo only runs a product inside the Strategy Tester. To let you use the panel on a live chart before buying, there is a separate build that runs on demo accounts only, for 30 days from the first time you run it on a terminal. It is the complete product with nothing taken out; the only differences are the two limits and the caption.

What it is and what it is not
It is the same code as the Market product, version for version, with two conditions compiled in: the account must be a demo account, and no more than 30 days may have passed since the panel first ran on that terminal. The caption on the panel shows the days left — GTA demo 23d - XAUUSD M5 — so you always know where you stand. The Strategy Tester is always allowed.
It is not a cracked or cut-down version, and it is not for real accounts: on a real account it prints one line in the Experts tab, shows an alert, and removes itself from the chart. There is no key, no registration and no counter outside your own terminal.
Installing it
- Download the file above.
- In MT5 choose File → Open Data Folder. Open MQL5 , then Experts , and copy the file there (a sub-folder of your own, such as Experts\GTA , is fine).
- Back in MT5, in the Navigator (Ctrl+N) right-click Expert Advisors and choose Refresh. Giskard Trade Assistant Demo appears.
- Switch the terminal to a demo account (File → Login to Trade Account, or open one with File → Open an Account if you have none).
- Drag the program onto a chart, press OK on the properties window, and make sure the Algo Trading button in the toolbar is green.
From here on everything in the manual applies: the TRADE, PLAN, SETTINGS, MANAGE and PROTECT tabs, the rules, the sizing, the levels and the trailing stop. Settings are remembered per symbol, exactly as in the product, and they carry over if you buy later, because they live in the terminal, not in the file.
The 30 days
The count starts the first time the demo build runs on a terminal and is stored in that terminal's global variables (Tools → Global Variables, the entry GTA_demo_since ). It does not start again when you reinstall the file, change symbol or change chart. When the days run out the panel says so in the Experts tab and an alert, and removes itself; the Market product has no such limit.
Going from the demo to the product
Buy or rent Giskard Trade Assistant on the Market, then remove the demo build from your charts and attach the Market product from Navigator → Expert Advisors → Market. Your per-symbol settings are picked up as they are. The demo file can stay in the Experts folder or be deleted; it does nothing on a real account either way.
