Greetings !
MQL5 is growing very quickly and it is doing so exponentially.
This is great news, as we have the unique opportunity to receive new trading systems almost every day.
Most MQL5 robots show incredible results.
As a rule, you will not be able to see such results in real trading.
This is due to the fact that many people drive themselves into an invisible trap.
MT5 allows you to optimize your system to find the most accurate and best settings.
This allows users with a good algorithm, such as the Gold breakout, to achieve incredible testing results.
As a rule, any trader wants to make the best settings before today.
This is not entirely the right solution, since you will never know whether you have been over-optimized or not.
Imagine an acrobat walking on a thin rope.
Yes, he has a long pole and he is constantly trying to find his balance.
But how do you know when the rope is about to run out? You won't know, because optimization continues until the very end of the testing period.
In other words, your settings do not know what will happen in the future.
That's why I always recommend doing Forward Optimization.
This allows you to give yourself time to test your settings and avoid falling into the Over Optimization trap.
Big Gold Wins contains 9 strategies, each of which was created from 2019 to December 2025.
This means that everything that happens after 2025 is a logical continuation of these settings.
As for the level breakout, the Gold market is constantly changing and such breakout points are constantly shifting.
There are a lot of robots trading in the gold market, and therefore they change the market gradually.
In real trading, such positions usually end badly, since at breakout points the volumes are very large for any broker.
It's good that Big Gold Wins does NOT use the gold level breakout.
These are the sort of extremes that can create huge slippages.
MT5 can't generate precise slippages like in real trading. Typically, these are only approximate entry and exit point shifts.
This directly depends on the broker's execution speed. If the broker is fast, execution will be 20-30ms, but for most brokers, it's typically 200ms for Gold.
Of course, in 200ms the market moves a lot and you can get slippage for a breakout system.
That's why we don't use a level breakout strategy in Big Gold Wins and it's not that critical for us to have a very, very fast broker.
Moreover, all transactions always have a fixed SL level and protection for acceptable drawdown.
This allows us to always feel safe.
This is a good sign.
Thank you so much for reading this to the end, I'm always here to help with any questions! Thank you!
