📊Trade Tab(Open, Close, Filters)
The Trading tab is used for opening, closing, and managing orders.
1. Open Sub-Tab
The first sub-tab of the Trading tab is Open.
(This section explains only this sub-tab. Others will be explained separately.)
This sub-tab allows you to open market orders or pending orders.

2. Lot Calculation Method
• Here you select how the trade volume (Lot size) should be calculated.
• Available options:
| (1) Fixed Lot (default) | The value entered in the lot box will be used for all trades and will not change automatically. |
| (2) Risk Percent % | When selected, a Risk% box appears. If you enter a value such as 1, each trade will risk 1% of the account balance when Stop Loss is hit. For this option to work, you must set a Stop Loss. Once both SL and Risk% are set, the calculated lot size will appear automatically in the Lot box. |
| (3) Risk Equity | Same as Risk Percent, but calculation is based on equity instead of balance. |
| (4) Reward Balance | Lot size is calculated based on Take Profit distance instead of Stop Loss. |
| (5) Reward Equity | Same as Reward Balance but uses equity. |
| (6) Reduce by Profit | When selected, a Reduce% box appears. If you set it to 1, then for each 1% of account profit, the lot size is reduced by half of that amount (0.5% in this example). |
| (7) Fixed per Balance | Two boxes appear: • Lot/Balance → lot size per balance unit • Per Balance → balance amount to base the calculation on Example: If Per Balance = 500 and Lot/Balance = 0.01 and your balance is 2000, the system will set the lot to 0.04. |
| (8) Currency Amount | You set how much money (in account currency) you are willing to lose if Stop Loss is hit. The system calculates the lot automatically and displays it in the lot box. |

Filters Sub-Tab
Filters Sub-Tab
The fourth sub-tab of the Trading tab is Filters.
What are Filters?
Filters help the dashboard stop you from opening trades you don't want or close them automatically when certain conditions are met. These filters are very important for managing your account properly.
With filters in place, you can focus on your trades themselves without worrying about:
- Account drawdown
- News events
- Prop firm rules
- Time-based restrictions
- …
This sub-tab has 3 sub-tabs of its own: News, Prop Firm, and Time.
1. News Sub-Tab
The first sub-tab of Filters is News.
What does News Filter do?
Here you control your trades based on upcoming economic news events. You can prevent new trades from opening automatically near news releases, or even close existing trades.
💡 Note: This is also useful for some funded accounts (prop firms), as many prop firms do not allow trading during high-impact news events.
1. High Impact
If you select this checkbox, the dashboard will not open trades when a High Impact news event is approaching.
The system uses the "Hours Before" and "Hours After" settings (items 4 and 5) to determine the restricted time window around the news event.
2. Medium Impact
If you select this checkbox, the dashboard will not open trades when a Medium Impact news event is approaching.
3. Low Impact
If you select this checkbox, the dashboard will not open trades when a Low Impact news event is approaching.
4. Hours Before
In this box, you enter how many hours before a news event the dashboard should stop opening new trades (or close existing ones, if you activated item 7).
Example: If you enter 2, the restriction will start 2 hours before the news release.
5. Hours After
In this box, you enter how many hours after a news event the dashboard should continue the restriction.
Example: If you enter 1, the restriction will continue for 1 hour after the news release.
Combined Example: Hours Before = 2, Hours After = 1 means trading is restricted from 2 hours before the news until 1 hour after the news (total restriction window = 3 hours).
6. All Currencies
This setting determines which currency pairs are affected by the news filter.
7. Close All Open Orders
When this button is activated, the dashboard will automatically close all open orders when a news event falls within the restricted time window (based on Hours Before and Hours After).
This is a risk management feature to protect your account from sudden volatility spikes during news releases.
8. Magic Number Filter for News Closing
This menu lets you select which Magic Numbers should be included when the "Close All Open Orders" feature is triggered.
You can select multiple options at the same time.
All Currencies Setting Table
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Enabled (checked) | If there is a news event for any currency (e.g., USD), it will block trading for ALL symbols regardless of the currency pair. |
| Disabled (unchecked) | The filter only blocks trading for symbols that contain the affected currency. Example: A USD news event will block USD pairs (EURUSD, GBPUSD, etc.) but will allow pairs without USD (EURGBP, AUDNZD, etc.). |
Magic Number Options Table
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| (1) All Magics (default) | Includes every trade (manual trades, all EAs, and every trade type) |
| (2) FXtools Orders | Only considers trades opened using the FXtools Dashboard |
| (3) All Bots Orders | Only considers trades from all Bots (EAs). Excludes manual trades |
| (4) Manual Orders | Only considers manually opened orders |

Prop Firm Sub-Tab
Prop Firm Sub-Tab
The second sub-tab of Filters is Prop Firm.
What does Prop Firm Filter do?
This sub-tab contains options that are necessary for prop firm rules. It helps you focus on your trades instead of worrying about accidentally breaching prop firm restrictions.
Many funded account providers have strict rules about drawdowns, daily losses, weekend holding, and other trading behaviors. This filter helps you stay compliant automatically.
1. Select Magic
This menu lets you choose which Magic Numbers you want to apply the prop firm filters to.
You can select multiple options at the same time.
2. TP / SL Randomizer
Why is this needed?
Most prop firms do not allow identical trades across multiple accounts. If you are copying trades from a source to several prop firm accounts, having exactly the same TP and SL levels on all accounts can trigger detection and lead to a breach.
How it works:
When you enable this option (turn the button green), the dashboard will automatically change your TP or SL levels of all open trades by a small random amount.
The random change is limited to a maximum of 10 points (added or subtracted)
This makes each account's trades look slightly different while keeping the trading strategy essentially the same
3. Max Drawdown
All prop firms have rules about daily or maximum drawdown allowed.
When you enable this option, you set a percentage value in the box next to it.
What happens when drawdown is reached?
The dashboard will not allow you to open new orders
It will close all orders based on the Magic Number you selected
⚠️ Warning: Be very careful when selecting this option. If you do not check the values properly, it may close all your trades unexpectedly.
4. Daily% / All Time% Dropdown
This dropdown works with the Max Drawdown button (item 3). It lets you choose which type of drawdown to monitor.
5. Max Loss
Here you choose the maximum loss allowed per day to prevent opening more trades.
The type of loss limit is selected using the dropdown in item 6.
Examples:
Stop trading for the day after losing $500
Stop trading for the day after losing 5% of balance
Stop trading for the day after 3 losing trades
6. Max Loss Type
This dropdown determines how the Max Loss value (item 5) is interpreted.
7. Max Profit
Similar to Max Loss, this sets a maximum profit limit per day.
Once this profit target is reached, the dashboard will stop opening new trades.
8. Max Profit Type
This dropdown determines how the Max Profit value (item 7) is interpreted.
Same options as Max Loss Type: $ – Dollar amount, % – Percentage of balance, # – Number of winning trades
9. Pause After Loss
If one of your trades closes with a loss, this setting prevents you from opening a new trade for a certain number of candles.
You enter the number of candles in the box next to it.
Example: If you set 5, after a losing trade, the dashboard will wait for 5 candles to form before allowing any new trades.
10. Max Spread (Pips)
If the spread of a symbol you want to trade is higher than this value, the dashboard will not allow you to open a new trade on that symbol.
This protects you from entering trades during high-spread conditions (e.g., news events or market close).
Example: If you set 3, and the spread on EURUSD is 4 pips, you cannot open a new EURUSD trade.
11. Max Opened Positions
This setting limits the maximum number of simultaneous open positions allowed.
Once you reach this limit, the dashboard will not allow any new trades to open until some positions are closed.
12. Close All Friday at Hour
Why is this needed?
Some prop firms do not allow holding positions over the weekend. This option helps you comply automatically.
How it works:
You enter an hour value (in 24-hour format). Every Friday at that hour, the dashboard will close all open positions.
Example: If you set 21, all orders will close at 9:00 PM (21:00) on Fridays.
13. Block Same Direction Trades
If you enable this option, the dashboard will not allow you to open trades of the same symbol that are in the same direction as an existing open trade for that symbol.
Example: You already have a Buy trade on EURUSD open. With this option enabled, you cannot open another Buy trade on EURUSD.
💡 Some prop firms do not allow multiple positions in the same direction on the same symbol.
14. Block Opposite Direction Trades
If you enable this option, the dashboard will not allow you to open trades of the same symbol that are in the opposite direction as an existing open trade for that symbol.
Example: You already have a Buy trade on EURUSD open. With this option enabled, you cannot open a Sell trade on EURUSD.
💡 This prevents hedging (having both a Buy and a Sell on the same symbol), which some prop firms also restrict.
Time Sub-Tab
The third sub-tab of Filters is Time.
Magic Number Options for Time Filter
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| (1) All Magics (default) | Includes every trade (manual trades, all EAs, and every trade type) |
| (2) FXtools Orders | Only applies filters to trades opened using the FXtools Dashboard |
| (3) All Bots Orders | Only applies filters to trades from all Bots (EAs). Excludes manual trades |
| (4) Manual Orders | Only applies filters to manually opened orders |
Drawdown Type Options
| Option | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Daily % | Monitor drawdown based on the start of day balance. Example: If you set 10%, the filter triggers when today's drawdown reaches 10% of today's starting balance. |
| All Time % | Monitor drawdown based on the overall account balance since the beginning (peak balance). Example: If you set 10%, the filter triggers when the account has lost 10% from its highest ever balance. |
Max Loss / Max Profit Type Options
| Symbol | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| $ | Dollar amount | Enter 500 → stop trading after losing $500 today |
| % | Percentage of balance | Enter 5 → stop trading after losing 5% of balance today |
| # | Number of losing trades | Enter 3 → stop trading after 3 losing trades (regardless of loss amount) |

What does Time Filter do?
What does Time Filter do?
Here you choose what times you want to trade. You can set specific start and end hours (and minutes) for each day of the week.
Important: For the time filter to work on any given day, you must enable that day by turning its button green. Otherwise, the filter will not apply to that day.
How It Works
Each day of the week (Monday through Friday) has its own row with the following controls.
Example
If you want to trade only between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM on Mondays:
Click the Mon button to make it green (enabled)
Set Start Hour to 9 and minute to 0
Set End Hour to 17 and minute to 0
During all other hours on Monday, the dashboard will prevent new trades from opening.
Days You Can Configure
Monday (Mon)
Tuesday (Tue)
Wednesday (Wed)
Thursday (Thu)
Friday (Fri)
Saturday : for Crypto and some symbols that are tradable
Sunday: for Crypto and some symbols that are tradable
💡 Note: Saturday and Sunday are typically not included, as most forex markets are closed or have very low liquidity on weekends.
Key Points to Remember
A day must be enabled (green button) for its time restrictions to take effect
If a day is disabled (blue button), no time restrictions apply on that day
Trades that are already open will not be closed by the time filter – this filter only prevents new trades from opening outside allowed hours
The time filter uses your broker's server time (not your local computer time)
