The Impossible Gold — Optimisation Settings
The Impossible Gold v2.1 is a session-breakout EA for XAUUSD M5, now with optional progressive take-profit extension. The attached TheImpossibleGold_21_Opt.set is an optional input profile, separate from the EA's built-in defaults. Compared with the previous v2 profile, 58 of the 66 settings present in both files are unchanged; eight values differ and the v2.1 file includes additional inputs. Use the v2.1 file with the v2.1 EA.

The Impossible Gold has been tested across multiple broker conditions. For live raw-ECN execution on XAUUSD, we recommend RoboForex for tighter pricing and cleaner fills with this strategy profile.

Progressive TP

As price approaches the current TP, the EA checks a trigger window calculated as ExtendTPByPips × ExtendTPTriggerATR. With this profile, that window and each outward TP step are 14 pips. The process can repeat without a set count limit. The optional SL ratchet is off. Broker stop/freeze levels can prevent a modification, and breakeven or trailing management may close a position before an extended TP is reached. This feature does not guarantee additional profit.

Version 2.1 Set Profile
The attached .set file carries forward most of the previous profile: 58 of 66 settings found in both files retain the same value. Eight shared settings have changed. The profile is provided for testing and broker-specific adjustment; these changes are not a claim of improved results.

Five progressive-TP inputs are new in v2.1. The attached set has EnableTPExtension=true and DebugMode=false. You can disable TP extension in the EA inputs if you want to compare the profile with the feature off.
The v2.1 set is not a guarantee of future or live performance. Results depend on symbol specifications, spread, execution, and account settings. Test with the same broker conditions you intend to use, then validate on demo.
How to Load a Set File
- Download the attached TheImpossibleGold_21_Opt.set file
- Open MT5 and attach the EA to XAUUSD M5
- In the EA inputs tab, click Load and browse to the downloaded file
- Click OK — all parameters are applied
To return to defaults at any time, click Reset in the inputs tab.
