Exchanges battening down the hatches
- Will have special measures in place from June 20-27th due to referendum
- Cash markets will operate as normal and circuit breakers will remain
- "Fast market" will be declared in index and equity option contracts
The term "fast markets" means that quotes and price levels traded won't be fully controlled if things get crazy. In my LIFFE days, fast markets could bring some great profits if you were quick enough. Hearing a price 8 bid across the pit while the same contract was 6 offered next to you was an absolute gift if you could grab it.
