AlgoTrade News on Chart displays the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar directly on your chart. It draws vertical lines for events affecting the currencies of the chart symbol and lists upcoming events on a compact card, including forecast, previous, and actual values.

What it shows

A dotted vertical line at each event: red for high importance, orange for medium importance, and grey for low importance. Hover over a line to view the event name, time, and values.
The next high-importance event with a countdown timer.
Upcoming events with country, currency, importance level, time, countdown timer, and the forecast, previous, and actual values. Events remain on the card for 30 minutes after release so you can see the actual values.
Click "Fold" to collapse the card into a single line, and click "Open" to restore the full card view.

Alerts

Notifications sent a set number of minutes before high-importance events, or before medium- and high-importance events (15 minutes by default). Mobile push notifications are optional.
Events occurring at the same time are combined into a single alert. When applied across multiple charts, each event triggers only one alert.

Inputs: select currencies (leaving this field blank selects the currencies of the chart symbol), importance levels, toggles for vertical lines, past and future days to display, number of events on the card, card corner placement, alert settings, lead-time minutes, and mobile push notifications.

The indicator only reads calendar data. It does not open, modify, or close trades.
All event times use broker server time, matching the MetaTrader 5 calendar. Calendar data is provided through the trade server connection and is not available in the Strategy Tester.
Event values are provided by the built-in MetaTrader 5 calendar and may update when published or revised by the source. Please verify critical numbers before trading.
