TrueRisk Trade Journal MT4
- Yardımcı programlar
- Sürüm: 1.0
Free. A picture of every trade, saved for you, without lifting a finger.
TrueRisk Trade Journal takes a picture of the chart the moment a trade opens and again when it closes, writes the trade's numbers on the picture (side, lots, entry, stop, target, profit, R, how long you held it) and adds one row per closed trade to a journal file you can open in Excel or Google Sheets. It works for every trade on the account: trades from your panel, from an Expert Advisor, or from the MetaTrader app on your phone. It only reads the account: it never opens, changes or closes a trade.
MT5 version (free) | TrueRisk Trade Panel MT4 (free) | TrueRisk Account Dashboard MT4 (free) | All TrueRisk tools
- A chart picture when a trade opens, on a partial close, and when it closes
- The trade's numbers written on each picture, so every picture explains itself months later
- A dotted line from entry to exit on the close picture
- journal.csv: one row per closed trade with entry, stop at open, target, exit, hold time, points, profit and R
- R = profit divided by the money at risk at your stop when the trade opened (a stop added within 5 minutes of the entry counts, so phone trades work too)
- Partial closes: MT4 gives the rest of the order a new ticket, the journal follows it and keeps the whole trade in one row
- Today on the panel: trades closed, trades won, profit and average R
- A Snap chart button for a picture of your setup before you trade
- All symbols or only the chart's symbol, all trades or one magic number
- It is an indicator, so it sits on the same chart as your Expert Advisor or trade panel
- Free, no time limit, no registration
Why keep a trade journal
Most traders cannot say why their last ten losing trades lost. A picture of the chart at entry and at exit, next to the numbers, shows the pattern quickly: entries taken too late, stops too tight, winners closed too early. Writing it all down by hand is the part everyone skips. This tool does it for you.
How to use it
- Attach TrueRisk Trade Journal to one chart (Indicators). It records the whole account, not only that symbol
- Keep a chart open for each symbol you trade: pictures are taken from that chart, with your own template, timeframe and indicators. If none is open, the panel tells you which symbol needs one (the trade still gets its journal row)
- Your files: File > Open Data Folder > MQL4 > Files > TrueRiskJournal > your account number. Pictures are in one folder per month
- Attached it to more than one chart by mistake? Only the first one records, the others say so on the panel, so you never get double rows
Settings
- Trades to record: all symbols or only this chart's symbol; magic number (-1 = all trades, 0 = manual trades only)
- Picture on open, on partial close, on close; numbers on the picture on or off
- Picture size (0 = the chart's own size)
- Panel corner, distance from the edges, font size
Tested live
Checked on an MT4 demo account: a 0.20 lot EURUSD trade with stop and target, 0.10 closed after 10 seconds (the rest got a new ticket and was followed), the rest closed after 20 seconds; a USDJPY trade opened without a stop and the stop added 3 seconds later. Result: open, partial and close pictures, 2 journal rows, R worked out for both trades. The first three screenshots are those real MT4 pictures; the journal table is from the MT5 test.
Want the lot worked out from your risk?
TrueRisk Trade Panel MT4 (free) sets the lot from the % you want to risk and the stop you choose, so every R in your journal means the same amount of money. TrueRisk Account Dashboard MT4 (free) shows today, this week and this month at a glance.
