How “Buying” and “Selling” Volume Are Estimated

It's important to understand exactly what this indicator measures.

The indicator does not have direct access to an exchange order book or true buyer-versus-seller transaction volume. Instead, it uses tick volume together with candle anatomy - including the relationship between the open, high, low, and close - to estimate the relative buying and selling pressure represented within each bar.

This provides a transparent, consistent approximation based on standard market data and not actual order-flow volume. For every candle, the indicator's buy tick volume plus sell tick volume equals the total tick volume reported by MT4 and MT5, ensuring that the volume is fully accounted for in the calculation.
