Bitcoin Apex Predator

BTC Apex Predator is a trend-following Expert Advisor designed to trade Bitcoin's major bull cycles and stay out of the market during bear phases. It is not a scalper or a martingale system: it aims to capture the body of macro trends and protect capital once the trend is exhausted.

How it works:

• Identifies a likely long-term market bottom using a long-term momentum reading.
• Confirms a new bull trend once two long-term moving averages cross upward, supported by a trend-strength check.
• Enters a position when price breaks above its recent trading range, then gradually adds to the position as the move extends, with size adjusted to recent volatility.
• Holds the position with a wide trailing stop that follows price upward, letting the trend run as long as possible.
• Blocks new purchases when price becomes extremely stretched above its long-term average — a historical warning sign of a market top.
• Closes every position and moves fully to cash once the long-term trend turns downward.

Backtest summary: BTCUSD, 1-hour chart, 2017–2026, based on real historical tick data, starting deposit $1,000. Full performance metrics for the complete period and for an out-of-sample validation are shown in the screenshots below.

Cycle context (hypothetical analysis, not a prediction): based on historical Bitcoin halving patterns, Bitcoin peaked in October 2025 (~$126,000) and is currently in a corrective phase, with a projected cycle bottom toward late 2026. The EA is designed to remain in cash during this stage and reactivate its buy engine once the next long-term bullish trend signal is confirmed.

Recommended settings (aggressive profile, default values): risk per trade 4.5% · maximum simultaneous positions 6. A more conservative variant is available on request (lower risk, fewer positions).

Requirements: a leveraged trading account, the BTCUSD symbol, 1-hour chart timeframe, and a broker offering a low spread on Bitcoin.
