Apex Gold Breakout is an Expert Advisor for XAUUSD on the H1 timeframe. It identifies pivot-detected support and resistance levels, then places ATR-buffered pending stop orders ahead of price to catch confirmed breakouts in either direction.
The system pairs anticipatory entries with multi-stage exits: a partial take-profit at a configurable R-multiple, break-even protection, and ATR-scaled trailing on the runner. A daily-loss kill switch halts new entries after a threshold drawdown, and weekend-gap detection blocks trades immediately after Sunday market reopens.

Tested configuration
Backtested on XAUUSD H1, January 2020 through May 2026, on 99% modeling quality real-tick data with starting deposit of $3,000:

- Profit factor: 1.19
- Sharpe ratio: 1.84
- Recovery factor: 7.69
- Maximum balance drawdown: 12.75%
- Total trades: 4,137
- Win rate: 76%
- Test period: ~6.4 years

What you control
The validated parameter set is provided as a .set file. All parameters are configurable: risk per trade, ATR multipliers for stops and exits, partial-TP trigger, trailing distances, session hours, daily loss threshold, and the optional ML and trend filter layers.

Shows current S/R levels, signal state, pending stop status (armed BUY/SELL), daily drawdown progress, open positions with direction breakdown, session statistics (trades, win rate, profit factor, net P/L), and live ML diagnostics when enabled.
What this EA is
A systematic breakout strategy with disciplined risk management. It generates ~600-800 trades per year with a moderate win rate and structurally positive expected value. It will have losing weeks, losing months are possible, and drawdowns up to roughly 14% should be expected.

Not a martingale or grid system. Does not average down. Does not use unbounded recovery logic. Does not promise specific monthly returns. Does not require news feed or external data sources.
