MACD Ultimate MTF
MACD Ultimate MTF was built from a situation that comes up very often when trading XAUUSD on lower timeframes: the chart looks active, momentum seems to change quickly, but the overall direction is still coming from a higher timeframe.
The result is familiar - entries are taken based on local signals, but the move fades or reverses because the broader context was not aligned.
This tool focuses on one specific thing: showing MACD structure from a chosen timeframe in a way that is clear and stable on your current chart. It does not try to predict price. It helps you see where momentum actually comes from.
What the tool does
MACD Ultimate MTF displays:
- MACD line (EMA fast - EMA slow)
- Signal line (SMA of MACD, consistent with original logic)
- Histogram with 4 states:
- above zero and rising
- above zero and falling
- below zero and falling
- below zero and rising
- Cross points between MACD and Signal (directional dots)
The key difference is that all of this can be calculated from a higher timeframe and projected onto your current chart.
This makes it easier to understand whether the movement you see locally is part of a larger move or just short-term noise.
Typical use
This tool is most useful in cases like:

The indicator follows the original MACD structure:
- Fast EMA and Slow EMA for base calculation
- Signal line as SMA of MACD (not EMA)
