EquiGuard Pro – Automatic Equity Protection System
EquiGuard Pro is an Expert Advisor that monitors your account balance or equity and executes a set of protective actions when a specified threshold is breached. It is designed to be straightforward to configure and operates without storing any data outside of its own input settings.
Installation and Setup
Attach the Expert Advisor to any chart, on any time frame. Enter your threshold value in the input settings. That is all that is required.
Because EquiGuard Pro updates according to incoming price ticks, it will pause on instruments that do not trade during the weekend — such as most currency pairs. If you require continuous monitoring through the weekend, attach the Expert Advisor to an instrument that trades seven days a week, such as BTCUSD, which is available on some brokers during weekend hours. On Monday when the market reopens, monitoring resumes automatically on all instruments.
How It Works
Set one threshold value — the minimum balance or equity you will accept. EquiGuard Pro checks your account at the interval you choose. When the account value falls below that level, it executes the protective actions you have selected in the settings:
- Close all open positions
- Delete all pending orders
- Close all open charts
- Remove itself from the chart
Each of the four actions is independent and can be enabled or disabled individually before attaching the Expert Advisor. You decide exactly what happens when the threshold is reached.
Monitoring Modes
You choose how often the Expert Advisor checks your account:

Balance or Equity
The threshold can be applied to either:
- Equity — the current account value including open trade results
- Balance — the settled account value after closed trades only
Data Storage
EquiGuard Pro does not write to any external file, temporary file, or global variable. The threshold value is entered once in the input settings and read directly from there at runtime. If the platform is restarted, the Expert Advisor resumes monitoring with the same configuration.
On-Chart Panel
A panel is displayed on the chart showing the current balance or equity, the configured threshold value, and the current update frequency. Three buttons are available to trigger any of the protective actions manually at any time, independently of the automatic threshold monitoring.
What This Product Does Not Do
- It does not open, modify, or manage trades
