Gold Breakout Bot
Gold Breakout Bot is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed to trade price breakouts on XAUUSD.
The EA analyzes a window of previous candles to identify the highest and lowest market levels. At scheduled times, it can place a pending Buy Stop above the high and a pending Sell Stop below the low.
A trade is opened only when the price reaches and breaks one of these levels. After entry, the EA automatically manages the position using Stop Loss, Take Profit and a trailing stop.
The trailing stop follows the price when a position moves in a favorable direction. It can move the Stop Loss closer to the current price to protect part of the movement. For this reason, a profitable position may be closed before reaching its Take Profit.

The EA does not attempt to predict in advance whether the market will move up or down. An entry occurs only when the price confirms the movement by reaching a breakout level.

Input parameters
Risk control
- Expert Magic Number: number used to identify the EA’s orders and positions.
- Use Balance Sizing: enables or disables lot calculation based on the account balance.
- Fixed Lots: defines the trading volume when balance-based sizing is disabled.
- Balance Per Step: defines the account balance amount corresponding to each lot-sizing step.
- Lots Per Balance Step: defines how many lots are added for each balance step.
- Maximum Lots: sets the maximum permitted trading volume.
- Maximum Margin Usage: limits the estimated percentage of margin that an order may use.
- Cancel If Margin Is Insufficient: prevents or cancels order placement when the available margin is insufficient.
Orders
- Stop Loss Points: initial Stop Loss distance measured in symbol points.
- Take Profit Points: Take Profit distance measured in points.
- Entry Buffer Points: additional distance applied to the calculated entry level.
- Minimum Order Gap Points: minimum permitted distance between pending orders of the same type.
- Lookback Bars: number of previous candles used to calculate the highest and lowest levels.
- Order Expiry Days: number of days before a pending order expires.
- Maximum Pending Orders Per Side: maximum number of Buy Stop or Sell Stop orders allowed on each side.
- Session Hours: broker server hours when the EA checks for new orders. Hours must be separated by commas, for example: 3,9,15 .
- Order Comment: comment used to identify orders in MetaTrader 5.
Trailing stop
- Enable Trailing: enables or disables trailing-stop management.
- Trailing Start Points: favorable price movement required before the trailing stop is activated.
- Trailing Distance Points: distance maintained between the current price and the Stop Loss.
- Trailing Step Points: minimum price movement required before the Stop Loss is updated again.
Operational protection
- Maximum Spread Points: maximum spread permitted for placing new orders. A value of zero disables the filter.
- Cancel Pending on Friday: enables the cancellation of pending orders on Friday.
- Friday Cancel Hour: broker server hour when pending orders are canceled on Friday.
- Cancel Pending on Remove: cancels pending orders when the EA is removed from the chart.

Usage recommendations
Gold Breakout Bot is primarily designed for XAUUSD. Initial testing on a demo account with a fixed lot size is recommended to verify the symbol specifications and the broker’s execution conditions.
The recommended account type is Hedging. On Netting accounts, opposite orders and other strategies trading the same symbol may reduce, close or reverse the existing position.
MetaTrader 5 must remain open and connected for continuous trailing-stop management. A VPS may also be used.
Spread, commission, slippage, contract size, minimum order distance and broker server time can vary between brokers. Run broker-specific backtests and demo tests before using the product on a live account.
