News Shield only protects against scheduled economic calendar events. It cannot predict surprise announcements, emergency central bank decisions, geopolitical events, or any unscheduled market-moving news. Plan your position sizing accordingly for tail-risk events.
MT5 Economic Calendar data depends on your broker's feed. Most major MT5 brokers provide complete calendar data. Verify your broker includes this before relying on Shield.
The Tighten SL action will not create a stop loss where none exists. If a trade has no SL set, Shield will not add one — it will only modify existing stop losses. Set SLs on all positions for full protection.
