Como funciona

O indicador encontra topos e fundos de oscilação, traça duas linhas de tendência por eles e valida o formato: topo plano com fundo ascendente é um triângulo ascendente; topo descendente com fundo plano, descendente; duas linhas convergentes com inclinações semelhantes formam um triângulo simétrico. O preço deve permanecer dentro da figura até o rompimento. A figura aparece com um atraso de alguns candles (veja Swing confirmation (bars after)), portanto os sinais confirmados não são repintados.

Como operar com ele

Ascendente (resistência plana): normalmente se observa um rompimento para cima.
Descendente (suporte plano): normalmente se observa um rompimento para baixo.
Simétrico: neutro; opera-se na direção do rompimento.
A seta para cima indica fechamento acima da linha superior; a seta para baixo, fechamento abaixo da inferior. Entre na seta ou no reteste da linha rompida; posicione o stop além da linha oposta ou do último swing; um alvo comum é a altura do triângulo em sua parte mais larga projetada a partir do rompimento.
Linhas tracejadas com o rótulo "(no breakout)" ou "(expired)" são figuras que falharam; o melhor é ignorá-las.
As figuras são mais confiáveis em tempos gráficos maiores (H1 ou acima). Use os alertas para não precisar acompanhar o gráfico o tempo todo.

Swing strength (bars before) — quantos candles à esquerda um swing deve dominar. Maior = menos swings, porém mais relevantes.
Swing confirmation (bars after) — quantos candles à direita confirmam um swing. Maior = mais confiável, mas mais tardio.
Touches per side (2–4) — por quantos pontos de swing cada linha deve passar. Maior = mais rigoroso.
Flat line tolerance (% of height) — quanto uma linha pode se inclinar e ainda ser considerada horizontal (ascendente / descendente).
Symmetry ratio (max) — razão máxima de inclinação entre as duas linhas de um triângulo simétrico. Menor = figuras mais equilibradas.
Touch / containment tolerance (x ATR) — tolerância em unidades de ATR: quanto os swings podem se afastar da linha e o preço pode ultrapassar a figura.
Min pattern length (bars) / Max pattern length (bars) — limites de tamanho da figura; o máximo também limita sua duração.
ATR length — período do ATR usado nas tolerâncias.
Ascending / Descending / Symmetrical — ativa ou desativa cada tipo de figura.
Ascending color, Descending color, Symmetrical color, Line width, Fill pattern — cores, espessura das linhas e preenchimento.
Breakout requires a close beyond the line — ativado: o rompimento vale no fechamento do candle; desativado: basta o pavio (mais sinais, e mais falsos).
