VWAP Sniper Reversal Pro identifies potential mean-reversion setups at statistical price extremes. It combines a rolling volume-weighted average price (VWAP) baseline, dual-layer ATR deviation bands, volume and wick exhaustion filters, and an RSI gate to confirm reversal signals on completed bars.
Built for traders who want multi-factor confluence rather than a single oscillator reading. A signal only prints when price stretch, volume expansion, candle rejection, and momentum exhaustion align.

What the Indicator Does
VWAP Sniper Reversal Pro answers one core question:
Has price stretched beyond its recent volume-weighted fair value, with volume and momentum confirming exhaustion?
The engine evaluates four independent conditions on each completed bar and only arms a signal when they align:

Price penetration of a VWAP-anchored ATR band

Tick volume expansion above a moving average

Candle rejection structure (wick or engulfing)

The result is a confirmed reversal arrow with a locked, non-repainting marker.
Core Components
Rolling VWAP Baseline
Continuously updated volume-weighted average price over a configurable rolling window. Auto mode derives bar count from your timeframe (default 24 hours of data). Manual mode lets you specify bar count directly. Daily Reset mode is also available for session-based VWAP.
Dual-Layer ATR Bands
Inner and outer volatility bands plotted around the VWAP baseline using Average True Range. Bands expand and contract with volatility. Choose your stretch trigger: Inner Band, Outer Band, or Inside Ribbon (price closing strictly between inner and outer).
Volume & Wick Exhaustion Filters
Compares current tick volume against a configurable volume MA to detect spikes. Evaluates candle structure for rejection wicks or engulfing patterns. Choose your exhaustion mode: Volume OR Price Action, Volume AND Price Action, Volume Only, or Price Action Only.
RSI Gate Filter
Optional. Blocks long signals when RSI is above a configurable threshold (default 35) and blocks short signals when RSI is below a configurable threshold (default 65).

How It Works

Rolling VWAP is computed over the selected lookback using typical price × volume ÷ total volume. An incremental sliding-window calculation keeps per-bar cost constant regardless of window size.

ATR is calculated over the configured period. Inner and outer bands are plotted at k and k + step multiples above and below the VWAP baseline.

For each completed bar, the engine checks whether price has penetrated the selected band trigger. It then evaluates tick volume against the volume MA, and whether the candle forms a rejection wick or engulfing pattern.

If all conditions align, an armed dot is placed and the exhaustion level is recorded.

Once the confirmation condition is met on a subsequent bar, the signal arrow is printed and locked. Armed state expires after a configurable number of bars.

Historical, Live & Non-Repainting Behavior
All signal arrows, armed dots, and RSI labels are calculated on completed bars. Once a bar closes and a signal confirms, the marker is locked and does not change.
The live forming bar may show provisional armed dots or band values that update as the candle develops. These readings are not final until the bar closes.

Practical Market Scenarios
Price Reaches Outer ATR Band with Volume Spike
Price moves sharply beyond the outer band, tick volume exceeds the volume MA, and the candle forms a long rejection wick. An armed dot appears. If RSI is also at an extreme, a confirmed signal may print on the next bar.
RSI Gate Blocks Counter-Trend Signal During Strong Momentum
Price breaks above the outer band, but RSI has not reached the overbought threshold. The RSI gate blocks the short signal — helping avoid premature counter-trend entries before momentum reaches an extreme.
Engulfing Pattern at Inner Band
Price pulls back to the inner band and forms a bullish engulfing pattern. With RSI at or below the long threshold, fast-track confirmation can fire a signal at the open of the next bar.
Mean-Reversion Toward VWAP
After a confirmed signal at an outer band, observe whether price moves back toward the central VWAP line. The VWAP baseline serves as a reference for distance between current price and recent volume-weighted fair value.

Technical Notes
The indicator is written entirely in native MQL4. The rolling VWAP uses an incremental sliding-window calculation — per-bar cost stays constant regardless of window length. All signal logic runs on completed bars. Chart objects are used for RSI labels.
MQL4 buffers are series-indexed (0 = newest bar). The state machine walks oldest → newest so confirmation logic reads previous and next bars correctly. ATR and RSI are read per bar via the terminal's cached iATR() and iRSI() functions — no indicator handle plumbing required.
The indicator keeps the same 15-buffer layout as the MT5 build — inner and outer band values remain readable via iCustom() with unchanged buffer indices.
