Trade Manager EA is a professional manual trading panel for MetaTrader 5 designed to give traders direct control over market orders, pending orders, position management, partial profit taking, break-even protection, trailing stops, TP ladders, grid orders, trigger lines, news awareness and trade monitoring from one integrated chart panel.
The EA is designed around a simple principle:
You decide when and where to trade.
The Trade Manager EA provides the tools to execute and manage that decision efficiently.
It is not built around an automatic trading strategy or an indicator-based signal system. Instead, it acts as a trading control center that helps the trader execute manual setups and manage open positions without constantly relying on the standard MT5 order window.
KEY FEATURES1. One-Click BUY and SELL Market Execution
The main panel provides dedicated BUY and SELL buttons for rapid market execution.
The trader can configure:
-
Lot size
-
Number of positions
-
Take Profit distance
-
Stop Loss distance
-
TP ladder spacing
-
Break-even buffer
When multiple positions are selected, the EA can open a batch of positions and manage them as a structured group.
The EA uses the actual position fill price when applying the final SL and TP levels, helping ensure that the management levels are based on the executed trade rather than simply the requested market price.
2. Flexible Position SizingThe panel allows the trader to enter a custom lot size or select from a configurable lot-size list.
The default lot list includes:
0.01
0.02
0.03
0.04
0.05
0.07
0.09
0.11
0.15
0.19
0.25
0.32
0.42
0.55
0.71
0.92
1.20
The list can be customized through the EA inputs.
The trader can also configure the number of positions to open, with the default selection list supporting:
1 to 10 positions.
This makes it possible to structure a trade as a single position or as a multi-position batch.
3. Adjustable TP and SLThe EA supports configurable Take Profit and Stop Loss distances in pips.
Default settings include:
TP: 20 pips
SL: 50 pips
The trader can change these values according to the instrument, broker and trading plan.
The EA automatically converts the configured pip distances into the appropriate price distances for the current symbol.
It also includes broker stop-distance handling to help prevent invalid SL or TP placement.
4. TP Ladder ManagementOne of the main features of the Trade Manager EA is its multi-position TP ladder.
When multiple positions are opened, each position can receive a progressively different TP level.
For example, with:
-
TP = 20 pips
-
TP Ladder = 20 pips
-
4 positions
The structure can be:
Position 1 → TP 20 pips
Position 2 → TP 40 pips
Position 3 → TP 60 pips
Position 4 → Runner
This creates a structured profit-taking sequence instead of forcing every position to use the same target.
The ladder distance is configurable through:
InpTPLadderPips
5. Runner PositionWhen multiple positions are opened, the final position can be treated as a runner.
With the runner function enabled:
-
The earlier positions receive their TP targets
-
The final position does not receive a fixed TP
-
The runner can remain open for further price movement
-
Trailing management can take over once the required conditions are reached
This allows a trader to combine:
Fixed profit targets + a runner position
For example:
TP1 → close first position
TP2 → close second position
TP3 → close third position
Runner → remain open and trail
The runner functionality is controlled through:
InpTrailLastAfterTP
6. Automatic SL Advancement After TP HitsThe EA can automatically advance the Stop Loss as successive TP levels are reached.
The management structure works progressively.
After the first TP is reached, remaining positions can have their SL moved toward break-even.
As additional TP levels are reached, the EA can move the SL toward the previous TP level.
For example:
Initial structure:
Entry
↓
SL
TP1
TP2
TP3
Runner
After TP1:
Remaining positions → Break-even
After TP2:
Remaining positions → SL can advance toward TP1
After TP3:
Remaining positions → SL can advance toward TP2
This creates a progressive trade-management structure where realized profit levels can become protection levels for the remaining positions.
The feature can be controlled through:
InpLadderSLAdvance
7. Manual Break-EvenThe EA includes a dedicated break-even management function.
The trader can move Stop Loss toward break-even for positions on the current symbol.
A configurable buffer can be added to the entry price.
Default:
InpBEBufferPips = 5
For BUY positions:
Break-even level = Entry + buffer
For SELL positions:
Break-even level = Entry - buffer
The EA also checks broker minimum stop-distance requirements before attempting the modification.
8. Trailing StopThe Trade Manager EA includes configurable trailing-stop management.
The trader can specify:
Trailing activation distance
Trailing stop distance
Default settings:
Activation = 100 pips
Trailing distance = 50 pips
The trailing system only moves the Stop Loss when the new Stop Loss provides a more protective level than the existing one.
For BUY positions, the Stop Loss trails below the current price.
For SELL positions, the Stop Loss trails above the current price.
The EA also checks the broker's minimum stop distance before modifying the position.
9. Partial Profit TakingThe EA provides dedicated partial-close functionality.
The available partial-close percentages are:
10%
30%
50%
90%
The selected percentage is applied to positions on the current symbol.
The EA automatically calculates the corresponding volume and respects the broker's minimum volume and volume-step requirements.
This allows traders to scale out of positions without manually calculating how much volume needs to be closed.
Example:
1.00 lot position
50% partial close
0.50 lot remains.
10. BUY LIMIT and SELL LIMIT OrdersThe EA provides direct pending-limit order functionality.
BUY LIMIT orders can be placed below the current market.
SELL LIMIT orders can be placed above the current market.
The trader can specify:
Entry price
TP
SL
Lot size
Number of grid levels
The EA validates the order direction before submitting the pending order.
For example:
BUY LIMIT must be below the current Ask.
SELL LIMIT must be above the current Bid.
This helps prevent incorrectly positioned pending orders.
11. BUY STOP and SELL STOP OrdersThe panel also supports breakout-style pending orders.
BUY STOP orders can be positioned above the current market.
SELL STOP orders can be positioned below the current market.
The trader can specify:
Entry price
TP
SL
Lot size
Grid count
Grid spacing
The EA checks the requested price relative to the current Bid and Ask before submitting the order.
12. Grid Order PlacementThe EA can place multiple pending orders using configurable grid spacing.
Default:
Grid step = 10 pips
Grid count = 5
For example, a BUY STOP grid could be structured as:
BUY STOP 1 → Entry
BUY STOP 2 → Entry + 10 pips
BUY STOP 3 → Entry + 20 pips
BUY STOP 4 → Entry + 30 pips
BUY STOP 5 → Entry + 40 pips
The same concept can be applied in the opposite direction for SELL orders.
Grid functionality is available for the supported pending-order types.
The number of orders and spacing can be adjusted through the EA inputs.
13. Drag-and-Trigger BUY LineThe EA includes a visual BUY trigger line that can be placed directly on the chart.
Press:
BUY LINE
The EA creates a horizontal trigger line.
The trader can then drag the line to the desired price level.
When price touches the configured BUY trigger level, the EA executes the same market BUY action used by the BUY button.
After the trigger fires, the line becomes disarmed.
Dragging the line again re-arms it.
This allows the trader to visually position a manual entry level without having to constantly monitor the exact price.
14. Drag-and-Trigger SELL LineThe SELL LINE works in the same way.
Press:
SELL LINE
A horizontal SELL trigger line is created.
The trader can drag it to the desired price.
When price reaches the trigger level, the EA executes the SELL market action.
The line then becomes disarmed.
Dragging it again re-arms the trigger.
The line displays its price directly on the chart.
15. Reset Trigger LinesA dedicated:
RESET LINES
button is included on the panel.
This allows the trader to reset the configured BUY and SELL trigger lines without manually removing chart objects.
16. High-Volatility BlockerThe EA includes a configurable volatility protection mechanism.
The trader can enable:
InpBlockHighVolatility
and configure:
InpVolatilityThreshold
Default threshold:
50 pips
When the volatility blocker is enabled and the configured condition is reached, the EA can prevent supported new order placement.
This is intended to help the trader avoid initiating new orders during unusually volatile market conditions.
The feature is configurable and can be disabled when required.
17. Built-In Economic News AwarenessThe EA uses the MetaTrader 5 economic calendar to monitor upcoming high-impact events.
The news filter can track selected currencies.
Default tracked currencies include:
USD
CNY
EUR
GBP
AUD
The trader can configure the news-warning window.
Default:
30 minutes
The EA checks upcoming calendar events and identifies high-impact events associated with the configured currencies.
The panel displays a news message such as:
NEWS: Event Name (USD) in 15 min
The news system is primarily designed as an awareness and trade-protection feature, allowing the trader to see when significant economic events are approaching.
18. Live P&L MonitoringThe panel continuously refreshes trading information.
The interface includes P&L information for the current symbol and allows the trader to monitor the financial state of open positions directly from the EA panel.
This keeps important trade information visible without requiring the trader to repeatedly open the standard MT5 terminal windows.
19. Close All Profitable PositionsThe EA includes a dedicated close-profit function.
When activated, the EA checks positions for the current symbol and closes positions that are currently profitable.
Positions that are not profitable are not closed by this function.
This provides a quick way to secure currently profitable positions.
20. Close All Losing PositionsA separate close-loss function is provided.
The EA checks positions for the current symbol and closes positions that currently have a negative P&L.
Profitable positions are not closed by this function.
This gives the trader a rapid manual risk-control option during changing market conditions.
21. Delete Pending OrdersThe EA includes a dedicated function to remove pending orders from the current symbol.
This can be useful when:
-
A setup is invalidated
-
A breakout level is no longer relevant
-
Market conditions change
-
The trader wants to clear pending orders before news
-
The trader wants to reset the chart's pending-order structure
The EA reports how many pending orders were deleted.
22. TP and SL Hit Sound NotificationsThe EA monitors open positions and tracks their TP and SL levels.
When the EA detects a position closure corresponding to a TP or SL level, it can play the appropriate sound notification.
The source code references:
TPHit.wav
and
SLHit.wav
This allows the trader to receive an audible notification without having to continuously watch the chart.
23. Error and Status FeedbackThe panel contains status and error information.
Trade actions can report information such as:
-
Order successful
-
Order failed
-
Invalid price
-
Invalid TP
-
Invalid SL
-
Broker rejection
-
Pending-order errors
-
Position-management errors
The EA also maintains a visible error area for recent problems.
This helps the trader identify why an order or modification was not accepted.
24. Broker-Aware Trade ManagementThe EA includes several mechanisms designed to work with broker trading requirements.
These include:
-
Symbol price normalization
-
Volume normalization
-
Minimum volume checking
-
Volume-step checking
-
Broker minimum stop-distance checking
-
Slippage configuration
-
SL/TP modification retries
-
Modification cooldown
-
Validation of pending-order direction
-
Validation of TP/SL placement
The EA includes configurable settings for:
Maximum slippage
Stop-level buffer
Hard minimum stop distance
Modification retries
Modification cooldown
These settings allow the trader to adapt the EA to different broker environments.
25. Modification ProtectionThe EA includes protection against excessive repeated SL/TP modifications.
Configurable parameters include:
InpModifyRetries
and
InpModifyCooldownMs
Default values:
3 modification retries
2000 ms modification cooldown
This is designed to reduce unnecessary repeated modification requests, particularly when dealing with slower trade servers.
26. Configurable Panel LayoutThe Trade Manager EA provides configurable panel positioning.
The panel can be positioned using:
InpPanelX
and
InpPanelY
The EA also supports a wider rectangular panel layout.
The standard layout uses a compact panel.
The rectangle layout can provide a wider three-column interface.
The configurable rectangle dimensions include:
Panel width
Panel height
This allows the trader to adapt the interface to different monitor sizes and chart layouts.
27. Designed for Manual TradingThe Trade Manager EA is fundamentally a manual trading assistant.
It does not attempt to decide what the market should do.
It does not replace the trader's analysis.
Instead, the trader determines:
-
Direction
-
Entry
-
Market structure
-
Support and resistance
-
Strategy
-
Risk
-
Position size
-
Trade timing
The EA then provides the execution and management tools.
This makes it suitable for traders who already have their own trading methodology and want a centralized execution and position-management interface.
TYPICAL WORKFLOWA typical manual trade can be managed as follows:
STEP 1 — Analyze the Market
The trader performs their own technical and fundamental analysis.
STEP 2 — Select Position Size
Choose the desired lot size.
STEP 3 — Select Position Count
Choose whether to open one position or a multi-position batch.
STEP 4 — Set TP and SL
Enter the desired TP and SL distances.
STEP 5 — Execute
Press BUY or SELL.
Alternatively, use:
BUY LIMIT
SELL LIMIT
BUY STOP
SELL STOP
STEP 6 — Manage the Position
The trader can then use:
Break-even
Partial close
Trailing stop
TP ladder
Runner management
STEP 7 — Secure Profits
Partial-close buttons can be used to reduce exposure while allowing remaining positions to continue.
STEP 8 — Manage the Runner
If a multi-position batch is being used, the final position can operate as the runner and be managed through trailing logic.
STEP 9 — Monitor News
The built-in economic-calendar display provides awareness of upcoming high-impact events.
EXAMPLE MULTI-POSITION TRADESuppose a trader selects:
Lot size: 0.10
Positions: 4
Initial TP: 20 pips
TP ladder: 20 pips
SL: 50 pips
The EA can structure the trade as:
Position 1 → 20 pip TP
Position 2 → 40 pip TP
Position 3 → 60 pip TP
Position 4 → Runner
If the first TP is reached, the first position closes.
The EA can then move the Stop Loss of the remaining positions toward break-even according to the configured ladder-management rules.
If the next TP is reached, the remaining positions can have their SL advanced again.
The final position can remain open for further movement and be managed by the trailing mechanism.
This gives the trader a structured:
Take Profit → Protect → Take Profit → Protect → Runner
workflow.
