HIZOA SPREAD AND TIMER PANEL
is a clean and practical information utility for MetaTrader 4. It displays the current spread, rolling average spread, candle closing time and daily closing time directly on the chart.
The panel automatically adapts to the active symbol and timeframe, allowing traders to monitor essential spread and timing information without unnecessarily covering important chart areas.
HIZOA Spread and Timer Panel is available completely free of charge.
MARKET CLOSE AWARENESS
HIZOA Spread and Timer Panel helps traders remain aware of approaching market closing times. Advance warnings provide time to review open positions, manage exposure and decide whether trades should remain open before the daily rollover or weekend close.
This can help prevent positions from being unintentionally left open during periods of reduced liquidity, increased spreads, market gaps or weekend event risk.
The utility provides timely information and alerts but does not automatically close or modify trades. All position-management decisions remain under the trader’s control.

SPREAD INFORMATION
The utility compares the current spread with its rolling average.
Green – Low Spread
The current spread is below the internal low-spread threshold, indicating relatively low trading costs compared with its recent average.
Blue – Average Spread
The current spread is within its normal range around the rolling average.
Red – High Spread
The current spread is above the internal high-spread threshold, warning the trader of elevated trading costs compared with its recent average.
The rolling average and spread-classification logic operate automatically.
CANDLE CLOSE TIMER
The Candle Close timer displays the remaining time before the active candle closes.
Default color – Normal countdown
The candle is not yet within a warning period.
Orange – Final 10 seconds
The countdown changes to orange when the candle enters its final 10 seconds.
Red – Final 5 seconds
The countdown changes to red during the final 5 seconds before the candle closes.
The timer automatically adapts whenever the chart timeframe is changed.
DAILY CLOSE TIMER
The Daily Close timer shows the remaining time until the configured daily closing time using broker server time.
Default color – Normal countdown
The market is not yet within a daily close warning period.
Orange – Final 10 minutes
The countdown changes to orange during the final 10 minutes before the configured daily close.
Red – Final 5 minutes
The countdown changes to red during the final 5 minutes before the configured daily close.
By default, the daily closing time is set to 00:00 broker server time. The closing hour and minute can be changed through the input settings when required for a specific broker.
TERMINAL-WIDE ALERTS
HIZOA Spread and Timer Panel provides one alert 10 minutes before the configured daily close and one final alert 5 minutes before the daily close.
The alerts are shared across the entire MetaTrader terminal. When the utility is running on multiple charts, only one 10-minute alert and one 5-minute alert are issued. This prevents duplicate notifications from every open chart.
The alerts are intended to provide traders with sufficient time to review active positions before rollover, reduced market liquidity or the weekend close.
AUTOMATIC CHART VISIBILITY
By default, HIZOA Spread and Timer Panel automatically places chart candles behind the panel to maintain clear and consistent readability.
This behavior can be enabled or disabled through the input settings. When the panel is removed, the previous MetaTrader chart-foreground setting is restored automatically.
AUTOMATIC PANEL LAYOUT
The panel measures its displayed information and automatically selects a compact width when it starts.
After initialization, the panel width remains stable and only increases when additional space is genuinely required. This prevents continuous resizing when spread values or timer digits change.
The panel can be positioned in any chart corner and uses its own solid background for consistent readability across different chart templates and background colors.
CUSTOMIZABLE SETTINGS
• Panel corner and chart offset
• Font size
• Background and border colors
• Symbol and timer colors
• Spread-condition colors
• Spread display in pips or points
• Broker server closing hour and minute
• Daily close alerts on or off
• Automatic placement of candles behind the panel on or off
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
HIZOA Spread and Timer Panel is an informational trading utility. It does not generate entry signals, predict market direction, calculate trading risk or execute trades.
Market schedules and broker server times can differ between brokers. Users should verify the correct daily closing time for their broker and adjust the settings when necessary.
The displayed spread is based on the live Bid and Ask prices supplied by the connected broker. Spread values may change rapidly during volatile market conditions, news events, rollovers and periods of reduced liquidity.
All trading decisions, open-position management and risk management remain the responsibility of the user.
Clear timing. Visible spread conditions. One compact HIZOA panel.
