Lycan is an automated Scalping system optimized for XAUUSD (GOLD) on the MetaTrader platform. The EA does not use grid or martingale recovery methods. It applies volatility-based stop loss protection and rule-based filters (spread, news, and session) to select scalp trade opportunities using confirmed breakout strength, rather than relying on high-frequency or recovery-based entries.

Core Principle: No Grid, No Martingale, Dual Scalp Strategy System
Lycan does not add to losing positions, does not average down, and does not increase lot size to recover previous losses. This approach is a deliberate design choice intended to keep risk exposure predictable per trade.

LYCAN includes built-in margin safety - it automatically checks your free margin and account equity before opening each trade, and will reject or reduce trades if opening them would risk over-leveraging your account. This is why higher Risk % settings may result in fewer simultaneous trades, larger positions use more margin, so the safety system activates sooner to protect your account from dangerous exposure, especially if multiple pending orders were to trigger at once. This is a deliberate safety feature designed to protect your account.

Recommended Settings:

• Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold). Also works effectively on BTCUSD and US30 with a suitable broker.
• Timeframe: M5
• Minimum Deposit: 150 USD at 1:200 leverage or higher (Gold's margin requirement means lower leverage will need a proportionally larger deposit - see Notes below)
• Broker type: A low-spread ECN broker is recommended (e.g. IC Markets), though it also functions on non-ECN brokers
• Account type: Hedging account required (not compatible with netting-only accounts)
• A VPS is recommended for more consistent execution
