Quick Start Guide: Reading Correlation

This matrix measures returns (how assets gain/lose value together), not absolute

prices.

1. Bull/Bear Direction Cheat Sheet

  - Green Cells (\ge +0.50): Parallel Movement. If Asset A is Bullish, Asset B  is likely Bullish.

  - Red Cells (\le -0.50): Mirror Movement. If Asset A is Bullish, Asset B is likely Bearish.

  - Gray Cells (-0.20 to +0.20): No Connection. Bullish or bearish trends are completely independent.

2. Reading the Tooltip

Hover over any cell to see:

 Matched Periods: Shows data depth. If below 20, the cell displays --(unreliable due to session gaps).

   Regime Shift: Detects if the relationship is strengthening (↑), weakening(↓), or stable (→).

3. Three Core Trading Rules

1.  Avoid Double Risk: Never open bullish trades on two highly positive greenassets simultaneously. It doubles your exposure on the same market

    direction.

2.  Confirm Trends: Before entering a Bull trend on one asset, confirm that its

    highly negative red counterpart is in a Bear trend.

3.  Spot Decoupling (Overlay): Click a cell to display the overlay. If the Yellow line and Blue dotted line split wide apart, look for a mean-reversion

    ("catch-up") trade as they re-align.
