Momentum Rider Trend Entry System is a signal indicator for XAUUSD (Gold) and forex pairs. It only produces signals aligned with the prevailing trend — at pullbacks within that trend — and displays a complete trade plan on the chart: entry price, Stop-Loss, and four Take-Profit targets (TP1–TP4).
How it works
The indicator uses an HA Dual model combined with SMA to paint a trend cloud (green for up, red for down); you only trade in the direction of the cloud. Entry signals combine liquidity sweep-reclaim detection with market-structure break/shift detection, all filtered through the trend cloud. Each signal appears at the candle close and does not repaint. The Stop-Loss is calculated from ATR; the four Take-Profit levels use R-multiples, defaulting to 0.5R, 1R, 2R, and 3R.
What you see on the chart
The trend cloud is green for up and red for down; trade only in the direction of the cloud. A green up arrow marks a buy setup and a red down arrow marks a sell setup; arrows print at the candle close and do not repaint. The chart also draws the Entry line, the Stop-Loss line (red), and the four Take-Profit lines (green), with the risk zone shaded red and the reward zone shaded green.
Built-in tools
The multi-timeframe scanner is a table that scans your chosen symbols across M1 to D1 and highlights the ones with a live signal. The statistics panel shows the hit rate for each TP level, net pips, and the number of signals and bars, so you can fine-tune the target levels for each pair and timeframe. Alerts for new signals are optional and use the terminal's standard settings: popup, push notification to the MetaTrader mobile app, and email.
Quick start
Attach the indicator to an XAUUSD H1 chart. Wait for an arrow that prints at the candle close in the direction of the trend cloud. Enter at the Entry line, place your Stop-Loss at the SL line, and choose a Take-Profit by style — TP1 is the most conservative, while TP4 lets the trade run. As price moves in your favor, you can trail your stop manually along market structure, for example below the latest swing low for a long position.
Recommended use
Use the H1 timeframe or higher (H1, H4, D1) for steadier signals. M5 and M15 are better suited only to strong, clear trends, and they require tighter risk management (smaller lots, disciplined stops, fewer trades) because lower timeframes are noisier. Favor high-liquidity symbols: XAUUSD as the primary instrument, along with the major pairs EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, AUDUSD, USDCAD, and USDCHF; exotic or wide-spread pairs are best avoided. The tool tends to perform better during the US (New York) session and the London–New York overlap, around 13:00–17:00 UTC; the quieter Asian session and high-impact news spikes are best limited. You can start with XAUUSD on H1, set the SL to ATR×3, and place TPs at 0.5R, 1R, 2R, and 3R.
Input groups (shown by label in the Inputs tab)
Quick start: run the multi-timeframe scanner, show the signal table on the chart, only take entries aligned with the trend, show SL and TP lines, shade the risk and reward zones, show the trend cloud, recolour candles by trend, and show the statistics panel.
Signal and trend: fast trend speed, slow trend speed, main trend line length, ATR length for SL/TP sizing, and minimum break past swing in ATR multiples. Defaults are 3, 20, 50, 14, and 0.1.
Targets (SL / TP / Trail): SL method (ATR is recommended), SL distance as ATR × value (default 3.0), and TP1 to TP4 as risk × value (0.5, 1, 2, 3).
Scanner: the symbols and timeframes to scan, with an option to show only symbols that currently have a live signal.
Alerts: enable or disable popup, sound, and push.
Appearance: colors.
For XAUUSD on H1, the defaults are a sensible starting point.
Backtest before going live
Open the Strategy Tester (Ctrl+R), choose the pair and timeframe, and run in Visual mode to watch the signals while reading the statistics panel for the full backtest period.
