Trading Utility Panel Pro – V4.00 Live Risk Lot Calculator & Trade Manager for MetaTrader 5
Overview
Trading Utility Panel is a lightweight, fully collapsible, on-chart control panel for manual traders who want fast, accurate trade execution with built-in risk management. There are no automated strategies, just a clean, responsive interface with the tools you actually need one click away.
What’s New in V4.00
V4 makes lot sizing fully live. The Calculate button is gone: your lot size now updates automatically with every price tick, and your stop loss is shown as a draggable line on the chart. V4 also adds fixed-money risk, a 25% partial close, and a spread-aware Break Even button.
Section 1 — Live Lot Calculator (Upgraded)
In V3, you had to click Calculate to refresh your lot size. If price moved between calculating and clicking Buy or Sell, your position could be sized for a stop distance that no longer existed. V4 removes that delay.
- Live auto-calculation: once a valid stop is entered, the lot size recalculates on every incoming tick against the current Ask price. The figure in the Lot Size box always reflects the trade you would get if you clicked now.
- Risk Mode toggle (% Risk / $ Money): a mode button, styled like the Basket TP mode selector, switches how risk is defined.
- % Risk: enter 0.1–100, calculated against your live account balance.
- $ Money: enter a fixed amount you are willing to lose, for example 500. The amount is read in your account’s own currency automatically, so the label shows $, € or £ for USD, EUR or GBP accounts, or the currency code for other account currencies. No manual currency selection is needed.
- Draggable SL line on chart: entering a Stop Price draws a red horizontal stop line on the chart. Select the line and drag it to any level. The Stop Price box updates to match and the lot size recalculates instantly. Editing the Stop Price box moves the line to the new level.
- Configurable line style: choose a solid, dashed or dotted SL line in the EA input settings.
- Two calculation methods remain:
- Stop Price mode attaches the exact stop price to the order.
- Stop in Pips mode calculates and attaches the SL live at the moment Buy or Sell is clicked, using the current Ask/Bid ± pip distance. While in Pip mode, a reference line shows the pip distance below the current Bid and follows price.
- Last-edited wins: whichever stop input you edited most recently sets the active method. A mode indicator confirms which one is in use. Dragging the line always switches to Stop Price mode.
- Your inputs are preserved: risk, stop and target values you have typed are kept when you switch modes or collapse and expand the panel.
- BUY and SELL are always available. If no stop is set, the order executes with no attached SL, giving you full control.
Section 2 — Bulk Order Modification (Upgraded)
These buttons manage all open positions on the current symbol at once.
- Modify All SL’s moves every position’s stop loss to a single target price, with broker minimum distance checks built in.
- Modify All TP’s sets one take profit across all open positions.
- Close 25% of Volume (New in V4) reduces each open position by a quarter, rounded down to the symbol’s lot step and never below the broker’s minimum lot.
- Close 50% of Volume reduces each open position by half, with the same lot-step rounding.
- Close ALL Positions closes every open position on the symbol.
- Break Even All (New in V4) moves the stop loss of every open position on the symbol to break even in one click. It replaces the V3 Close Buys / Close Sells buttons.
- Spread-aware: for sell positions, the current spread is subtracted from the entry price so the position cannot close at a loss when the stop is hit.
- Configurable buffer: an optional extra buffer, in points and set in the EA inputs, can lock in a small profit beyond break even.
- Safe by design: positions that are not yet far enough in profit, or that are too close to price under your broker’s minimum stop distance, are skipped rather than rejected. The status bar reports how many positions were moved and how many were skipped.
Section 3 — Basket Take Profit
The basket engine monitors all positions on the symbol and closes them automatically when a combined profit target is reached. It supports four target modes:
- $ Money closes when total floating profit reaches a set amount.
- Pips closes when the volume-weighted average pip gain across all positions reaches the target.
- Equity $ closes when account equity has grown by a set amount since the basket was armed.
- % of Balance closes when total profit equals a set percentage of account balance.
You can arm and disarm the basket at any time. While armed, the panel displays live basket P&L and average pips.
EA Input Settings
- SL Line Style sets the stop line to solid, dashed or dotted.
- Break Even Extra Buffer (points) sets an additional offset applied when moving stops to break even.
General Features
- Collapses with a single click to save screen space, and can be dragged anywhere on the chart by its header.
- Detects your broker’s fill mode automatically (FOK / IOC / RETURN).
- A status bar gives real-time feedback on every action: calculations, order results, modifications, break even and basket state.
- Works on any symbol and timeframe, including forex, indices, metals and CFDs.
- Lightweight: live calculation runs only while a stop is set, and the panel itself is event-driven.
Requirements
- MetaTrader 5
- Any broker, any symbol
- Auto Trading must be enabled for order execution
