Bneu GLA Trend Indicator — Grover Llorens Activator
This indicator for MetaTrader 5 displays a dynamic trend activation line based on the Grover Llorens Activator method. The line changes color based on price position relative to the activation level, with signal arrows appearing on trend changes.
What It Does
Plots a dynamic activation line on your chart:
- Green line when price is above (bullish condition)
- Red line when price is below (bearish condition)
- Arrows appear on trend changes
- Works on any symbol and any timeframe

How It Works
The activation line adapts to volatility using ATR:
1. Calculates ATR over the specified period
2. Tracks price momentum and direction
3. Moves toward price in small ATR-weighted steps
4. Jumps to a new level on strong reversals
5. Changes color when price crosses the line
When price crosses above the line, the line turns green and an up arrow appears. When price crosses below the line, the line turns red and a down arrow appears.
Input Parameters
GLA Settings:
- GLA Length (default: 100) — ATR period and trend calculation
- ATR Multiplier (default: 5.0) — Distance of activation line
- Price Source (default: Close) — Which price to track
Display Settings:
- Show Arrows (default: true) — Toggle signal arrows
- Arrow Size (1-5) — Size of signal arrows
- Line Width (1-5) — Thickness of activation line
How To Use
Trend Following:
Green line suggests looking for buy setups. Red line suggests looking for sell setups.
Entry Signals:
Up arrow indicates potential long entry. Down arrow indicates potential short entry. Combine with your own SL/TP strategy.
Filter:
Use as trend filter for other strategies. Consider trades in direction of line color.
Usage Notes
- Higher length values (100-200) suited for swing trading
- Lower length values (20-50) suited for scalping
- Consider combining with support/resistance levels
- Works on trending market conditions
