XAUVERIS is a multi-strategy Expert Advisor developed exclusively for automated gold trading on MetaTrader 4.
Designed around trend confirmation, volatility-adjusted entries and predefined risk, XAUVERIS combines three independent trading engines operating across the H1 and H4 timeframes, supported by daily trend and market-strength filters.
Rather than increasing exposure to recover losing positions, XAUVERIS applies a structured trading approach in which every new position is protected by an initial stop loss and take profit.
No martingale. No grid trading. No averaging down.
The system is designed to identify selected trend-following opportunities while limiting new entries during weak or directionless market conditions.
1. Three Core Trading Engines
Engine 1: H1 Trend Pullback
Identifies potential continuation entries following pullbacks on the 1-hour timeframe.

Uses the Daily EMA50 to establish directional bias.

Evaluates Daily EMA50 slope relative to Daily ATR.

Requires sufficient trend movement before allowing entries.

Avoids new trades when the broader trend lacks directional strength.
Engine 4: H4 Trend Pullback
Identifies pullback opportunities on the 4-hour timeframe with additional daily trend-strength confirmation.

Operates on H4 price structure.

Applies a Daily ADX filter with a default threshold of 20.

Trades in the direction of the established daily trend.

Restricts entries during lower-strength market conditions.
Engine 3: H4 Donchian Breakout
Identifies potential trend continuation through confirmed price-channel breakouts.

Uses a 20-bar Donchian channel on H4.

Requires Daily ADX of at least 20.

Aligns breakout direction with the daily trend.

Provides an additional entry method alongside the pullback engines.
Additional configurations: Two optional engines, H1 Breakout and H4 Swing Breakout, are included for users seeking alternative entry configurations. Both are disabled by default.
All five engines can be managed individually through the EA input settings.
2. Integrated Risk Management
Risk management is a central component of XAUVERIS.
Position-Level Protection

ATR-based stop losses, typically between 2 and 3 times ATR depending on the selected engine.

Default take-profit objective of four times the initial stop-loss distance (4R).

Automatic breakeven adjustment after a position reaches 1R in unrealized profit.

ATR-based trailing stop management.

Equity-based position sizing, with default risk of 1.5% per trade.
Small-Account Mode
XAUVERIS includes a configurable minimum-lot mechanism for accounts where percentage-based position sizing would otherwise fall below the broker's minimum tradable lot.
The EA may use the broker's minimum lot only if the estimated initial trade risk remains within the configured limit, set to 5% of equity by default.
This feature does not eliminate the higher percentage risk associated with minimum-lot positions on smaller accounts.
Portfolio-Level Controls

Equity Drawdown Protection
The EA includes an equity drawdown threshold set to 35% by default.
When triggered, the default action is to suspend new trades for the remainder of the trading day. A permanent-halt option is also configurable.
Existing positions are not automatically liquidated by the default daily-pause setting, and losses may continue beyond the configured threshold.
3. Live Trading Dashboard
The integrated on-chart dashboard provides visibility into the EA's operating conditions.
It displays:

The dashboard helps users understand whether an engine is evaluating a potential entry, waiting for confirmation or remaining inactive because its trading conditions are not met.

All four calendar-year segments recorded positive historical net results in this test. Performance varied significantly between years.
Backtest B: January 2018 to October 2026
A separate extended historical test was conducted using the same EA configuration and unchanged default inputs.
This period includes different gold market conditions, including strong directional movements, reversals and extended consolidation phases.

Eight of the nine calendar-year segments were profitable in the historical test. The negative result for 2019 is included to provide a more complete view of the strategy's behavior.
The extended test was used to examine performance across different market regimes rather than relying solely on recent gold price movements.
Important: These results are historical simulations and have not been independently verified as live-account performance. Historical profitability, drawdown and trade frequency do not predict future results.

7. What's New in Version 3.10
Version 3.10 expands the previous two-engine configuration with additional trend-continuation functionality.
New H4 Breakout Engine
Introduced Engine 3, combining a 20-bar Donchian-channel breakout with Daily ADX trend-strength confirmation.
Updated Risk Configuration
Changed the default per-trade risk allocation from 1.0% to 1.5%.
Extended Historical Evaluation
Re-tested the three-engine configuration across both the January 2023 to October 2026 period and the extended January 2018 to October 2026 period.
Parameter Selection
Compared alternative breakout configurations across different historical periods. The selected default uses Daily ADX of at least 20, a 20-bar channel, a 3 ATR stop-loss multiple and a 4R take-profit objective.
Updated Performance and Risk Profile
The reported backtests showed higher returns than v3.00, accompanied by higher relative drawdowns. These results should not be interpreted as evidence of improved future performance.
8. Important Trading Information
XAUVERIS is an automated trading application. It does not guarantee profitable trading or prevent losses.
Historical simulations may differ materially from live results due to spread variations, slippage, execution delays, market gaps, liquidity, broker specifications and price-data quality.
The tests presented above use FBS historical price data and broker-specific trading conditions. Results from other brokers or future periods may differ substantially.
The system does not use martingale, grid trading or averaging down. However, predefined stops and position sizing do not eliminate market risk.
Users should test the EA using their own broker's historical data, evaluate execution conditions and conduct forward testing on a demo account before considering live deployment.
