A strategy may control every individual trade and still lose control of the account’s total risk.

Account Risk Guardian monitors all activity across your account, compares its current state with your predefined limits, and executes the configured response whenever a rule is breached.

It does not open trades or generate signals. It works as an independent protection layer that helps you control drawdown, losses, exposure, margin, and trading discipline from a single panel.

Account-Wide Protection from One Chart

Attach Account Risk Guardian to one chart to monitor all open positions, pending orders, and trading activity across the account.

The system analyzes manual and automated trades together, providing a consolidated view of:

• Balance and equity.
• Floating and daily P/L.
• Daily and maximum drawdown.
• Daily, weekly, and monthly losses.
• Risk to Stop Loss.
• Potential risk from pending orders.
• Volume and exposure by symbol.
• Margin usage and margin level.
• Trading frequency and losing streaks.
• Compliance with permitted trading days and sessions.

If Account Risk Guardian is attached to multiple charts, only one instance becomes the master executor. The remaining instances operate in read-only mode to prevent duplicate actions.

Daily Drawdown Control

Configure the daily drawdown limit as a percentage or a monetary amount, and choose the reference that matches your rules:

• Start-of-day balance.
• Start-of-day equity.
• Highest equity reached during the day.
• Custom reference value.

You can also define the exact daily reset time using the broker’s server time.

Account Risk Guardian displays the current drawdown, the percentage of the allowed risk budget already consumed, and the remaining buffer before the limit is reached. Two warning levels and one critical level can be configured before the final breach.

Maximum Drawdown Protection

Define an account-wide drawdown limit using different reference modes:

• Static initial balance.
• Static initial equity.
• Trailing peak equity.
• Trailing peak balance.
• The higher value of peak balance or peak equity.
• Custom equity floor.

The panel displays the active reference, current drawdown, percentage of the limit consumed, remaining buffer, and the equity level that would trigger the breach.

Initial references and persistent high-water marks can be reset manually from the panel.

Period Loss Limits

Set independent limits for:

• Daily loss.
• Weekly loss.
• Monthly loss.
• Floating loss.

Period loss limits can be expressed as money or as a percentage of the corresponding starting equity.

Deposits and withdrawals are excluded from trading performance calculations, preventing cash movements from being interpreted as trading profits or losses.

Floating P/L includes position profit or loss, commissions, and swaps.

Profit Protection

Account Risk Guardian can also enforce rules when the trading session is profitable.

You can configure:

• A daily profit target.
• A maximum permitted giveback from the highest daily profit reached.

For example, if the account reaches a daily profit peak and then gives back more than the permitted amount, Guardian can send an alert, block new exposure, or execute another configured action.

The permitted giveback can be defined as a monetary amount or a percentage of start-of-day equity.

Real Risk to Stop Loss

Account Risk Guardian calculates the money exposed between the entry price and the Stop Loss of every open position, using the tick size and tick value data provided by the broker.

The result is displayed in the account currency and as a percentage of equity.

You can define a maximum open-risk limit and choose the response to execute when it is exceeded.

Positions without a Stop Loss are not treated as having zero risk. They are identified separately, and the panel marks the risk calculation as incomplete. If positions without an SL are not permitted, Guardian can:

• Send an alert.
• Close the offending position.
• Activate a soft lock.
• Activate a hard lock.

Pending Order Risk

Pending orders are analyzed separately.

Guardian calculates their potential risk from entry price to Stop Loss and allows you to limit:

• Total pending risk as a percentage of equity.
• Maximum number of pending orders.
• Pending orders without a Stop Loss.

A pending order without an SL is displayed as unbounded risk, never as zero risk.

The panel also displays projected total risk by combining current open-position risk with the potential risk of pending orders.

Exposure Limits

Control account size and concentration with configurable limits for:

• Maximum number of open positions.
• Maximum number of pending orders.
• Maximum total volume in lots.
• Maximum lots per symbol.
• Maximum positions per symbol.
• Maximum gross notional exposure per symbol as a percentage of equity.
• Maximum total BUY volume.
• Maximum total SELL volume.

These controls help identify when several apparently small trades are creating greater combined exposure than intended.

Exposure by Symbol

The exposure table provides a clear overview of:

• Symbol.
• Number of positions and pending orders.
• BUY lots.
• SELL lots.
• Net volume.
• Open risk.
• Floating P/L, including swaps and commissions.
• Associated notional exposure.

This makes it easier to locate risk concentrations without checking every chart individually.

Margin Control

Risk to Stop Loss and margin usage are different measurements. Account Risk Guardian monitors them separately.

You can configure:

• Maximum margin usage as a percentage of equity.
• Minimum permitted margin level.

The panel displays used margin, margin usage as a percentage of equity, free margin, and current margin level.

Overtrading Protection

Account Risk Guardian reconstructs trading activity from the account history and allows you to set limits for:

• Trades opened during the day.
• Trades opened during the week.
• Losing trades closed during the day.
• Consecutive losses.

Historical trade results include profit, swaps, and commissions. The system also avoids counting partial-close remainders as separate trade entries.

Cooldowns After Losses

Configure a pause after every losing trade or a longer pause after a specified number of consecutive losses.

Cooldown duration can be defined in:

• Minutes.
• Hours.
• Until the next trading day.

The cooldown is reconstructed from account history and remains effective after the platform is restarted.

Trading Day and Session Discipline

Define permitted trading days and a session window based on broker server time. Sessions that cross midnight are also supported.

When new exposure is detected outside the permitted session, Guardian can:

• Send an alert.
• Remove new pending orders.
• Close new positions.
• Lock the account.

Optionally, it can also close positions that were already open when the permitted session ended.

Configurable Actions

For each main rule, you can select the most appropriate response:

• Monitor and log only.
• Send an alert.
• Activate a soft lock.
• Close the worst position.
• Close losing positions.
• Close all positions.
• Delete pending orders.
• Delete pending orders and close all positions.
• Activate a hard lock.
• Close all positions and activate a hard lock.
• Delete pending orders, close all positions, and lock the account.
• Execute the configured emergency action.

Rules concerning positions without an SL, pending orders without an SL, and trading sessions use responses designed specifically for those situations.

Soft Lock and Hard Lock

A soft lock is designed to act on exposure that appears after the lock is activated. It can close new positions and delete new pending orders without necessarily affecting positions that were already open.

A hard lock removes new exposure while it remains active. It can also be configured to delete all existing pending orders and close positions that were already open when the lock started.

Locks remain active after the platform is restarted. Depending on the rule, they can be released manually or at the next period reset. Locks triggered by the maximum drawdown rule always require manual unlocking.

Guardian cannot prevent another EA or the user from submitting an order. It detects the new exposure and reacts after it appears in the account.

Emergency Controls

The panel provides manual controls for trades included within the selected protection scope:

• Close all positions.
• Delete all pending orders.
• Close positions and delete pending orders.
• Lock the account.
• Unlock the account.

Destructive actions require confirmation to reduce the risk of accidental execution.

The automatic emergency response can be configured to:

• Close positions and delete pending orders.
• Close positions only.
• Activate a hard lock without closing previous exposure.

Selective Protection Scope

Metrics always analyze the entire account, but you can restrict which trades Guardian is authorized to close or delete:

• Entire account.
• Manual trades only.
• Specific Magic Number.
• Specific symbol.
• Symbol and Magic Number.
• Multiple Magic Numbers.

This provides an account-wide view while restricting automatic actions to authorized strategies.

Simulation Mode

Test your configuration before allowing the product to modify trades.

In Simulation Mode:

• Every rule is calculated.
• State changes are displayed.
• Intended actions are logged.
• No positions are closed.
• No orders are deleted.
• No real locks are created.

You can also use the generic Conservative, Balanced, Strict, and Custom profiles as starting points. These profiles do not represent the rules of any specific company and should be reviewed before activation.

Alerts and Notifications

Configure notifications through:

• Platform alerts.
• Push notifications.
• Email.
• Sound.

You can choose which events generate notifications:

• Warnings.
• Critical states.
• Rule breaches.
• Locks and unlocks.
• Position closures and order deletions.
• Execution failures.
• Connection or state recovery.

A configurable cooldown prevents excessive repetition of the same type of alert.

Push and email notifications require prior configuration in the platform settings.

Audit Log

Every relevant event is recorded with:

Recent events can be reviewed directly from the panel. The persistent audit log can also be exported as a CSV file for analysis outside the platform.

Persistent Configuration and Recovery

Configuration, reference values, high-water marks, counters, and locks are stored per account and restored after restarting the platform or changing charts.

If the system detects incomplete references, stale information, or a state recovered from an older backup, it clearly reports degraded protection.

In uncertain situations, Guardian avoids automatically repeating a destructive action that may already have been executed. The user can review the state and decide whether to acknowledge the event or re-arm the rule.

Failed closure or deletion requests are recorded and handled with controlled retries.

Important Information

Account Risk Guardian operates from the user’s trading platform. To execute automatic protective actions, the platform, the product, the broker connection, and automated trading must remain active.

Position closures and order deletions depend on the platform and broker accepting the corresponding requests. The product helps apply configured rules consistently, but it does not guarantee financial results or compliance with the conditions of any specific proprietary trading company.

Account Risk Guardian is designed for traders who already have an entry method and need an independent layer to monitor the account, centralize risk limits, and react according to predefined rules.
