ApeX ICT Macros is an ICT time-window indicator for MetaTrader 5 — the eight London and New York macros, drawn in your broker's time, classified as Accumulation, Manipulation or Expansion, with advance alerts.

Two London windows and six New York windows, each with its high, midpoint and low, extended forward so a macro that closed an hour ago is still a level you can trade against. Each one is classified from what price actually did inside it, and you are told a set number of minutes before the next one opens.
Daylight saving for London and New York are handled separately, and your broker's GMT offset is worked out for you.

Demo Mode Notice

The built-in MQL5 Demo runs in the Strategy Tester, where the interactive bar and its picker cannot be clicked. This is expected behavior and not a bug — the drawing itself works normally. To use the bar, run it on a regular MT5 chart.

⚠️ Important
The macro windows are minutes long, so this indicator works on M15 and below. On a higher timeframe it deliberately draws nothing — a twenty-minute window cannot be described by one H1 candle.

Why it earns its place on the chart

• You are told before, not after. Thirty minutes of warning by default — enough to get to the screen and form an opinion, instead of scrolling back and seeing what you missed.
• It says what happened, not just when. Accumulation, Manipulation or Expansion, colour-coded, so you can read the last five macros at a glance without reading a single word.
• The clock is handled for you. Your broker's GMT offset is worked out automatically, and London and New York daylight saving are separate switches — because for a few weeks each spring and autumn the two cities are not in step, and one switch would put six of the eight windows an hour out.
• Levels that outlive the window. High, midpoint and low, extended forward. The midpoint of a macro from two hours ago is still a level price respects.
• It does not fight your chart. While your mouse button is down it writes nothing at all, so a trendline keeps its second point. Everything sits behind the candles at the lowest priority and never steals a click.
• Alerts that go where you are. On its own, a standard MetaTrader alert. With ApeX Trading Console, an on-screen card, a phone push, a sound and an entry in your notification history — each part switchable.

1. The eight windows

• London — 02:33-03:00 and 04:03-04:30.
• New York — 08:50-09:10, 09:50-10:10, 10:50-11:10, 11:50-12:10 (the launch macro), 13:10-13:40 and 15:15-15:45.
• Per window — switch the whole window off, or just its top line, midpoint, bottom line or the forward extension. Eight windows on screen is a lot; you will not want all of them, and you do not have to take them.

2. What happened inside

• Accumulation — price stayed in the range. The window decided nothing.
• Manipulation — price pushed out of one side and came back. The stop run.
• Expansion — price left and kept going. The one that pays.
• Body or wick — judge from the candle body, or from the wick. Wick calls more windows manipulation because it counts every stop hunt; body counts only the ones price committed to. Your choice, and it changes what you see.

3. Alerts and the rest of the line

• Advance warning — set the minutes yourself; 30 by default. A vertical line on the chart marks where the next window begins, so the countdown is visible as well as audible.
• With ApeX Trading Console — alerts arrive as a notification card, a push to your phone, a sound, and a searchable history entry, under ICT Macro in the Indicators group. The card is on and the phone push is off by default, deliberately: the macros open around nine times a day.
• One bar for the whole line — SMC, ICT Concepts, ICT Macros and Volume Profile share a single bar, which docks onto the Console panel and follows it as you drag.

Getting started

1. Drag ICT Macros onto a chart on M15 or lower.
2. Leave the time zone section on Auto — it works your broker's clock out for itself.
3. Switch off the windows you do not trade, and set your advance warning in minutes.

Good to know

• MetaTrader 5, any broker, any symbol. M15 and below — on a higher timeframe it deliberately draws nothing.
• It is an indicator: it draws and alerts, and never sends an order.
• Everything on the chart depends on your broker's GMT offset. It is detected automatically, and can be set by hand if your broker is unusual.
• The notification card, phone push, sound and history are features of ApeX Trading Console, which is sold separately. On its own, ICT Macros raises a standard MetaTrader alert.
