Gold breaks key levels every week. GOLDEN BREAK is positioned there before it happens — pending orders set at statistically significant highs and lows across multiple timeframes, ready to catch the move the moment it triggers. A two-phase trailing stop locks in profit as the breakout extends. Hard stop loss on every trade. No grid. No martingale. No guesswork.
Up to four independent strategies run simultaneously — H1 far-range, H1 near-range, H4 swing, and M15 intraday — each with its own entry level, expiry horizon, and stop distance. A single Strategy Preset dropdown controls which strategies are active, so you can match activity to your account size and risk appetite without any complex configuration. A built-in False Breakouts Filter skips order placement during low-momentum sessions — so the EA only trades when conditions favor a real breakout, not a false one.
The price increases gradually as more copies are sold.

READ BEFORE YOU BUY: This is a breakout strategy, not a guaranteed income source. No strategy wins every trade. Breakout trading has losing streaks. The edge comes from consistency over time, not from winning every single trade. If you expect profits on every position or zero drawdown periods, this EA is not for you.
DISCLAIMER: Trading gold on margin carries significant risk. You may lose part or all of your investment. Backtest results are historical and do not represent live trading performance. This EA is a tool, not financial advice. Trade only with capital you can afford to lose.
How It Works
On every new bar of its respective timeframe, GOLDEN BREAK looks back across a defined window to identify the key highs and lows where breakouts are most likely to occur. It then places Buy Stop and/or Sell Stop pending orders a small buffer above/below those levels.
- When price breaks above a key high, the Buy Stop triggers and the EA holds the position with a hard SL and a trailing stop
- When price breaks below a key low, the Sell Stop triggers under the same rules
- When one side fills, the opposite pending is deleted immediately
- If the position closes, the EA waits a configurable delay then re-places fresh orders for the current session
Four Strategies, One Preset
GOLDEN BREAK runs up to four independent breakout strategies simultaneously. Select a Strategy Preset to control which strategies are active — no need to configure each slot individually.
Strategy Preset Control
| Preset | Active Strategies | Min. Capital | Character |
|---|---|---|---|
| LOW | S1 — H1 Far Range | $100+ | Conservative — one strategy, lowest exposure |
| MEDIUM | S1 + S2 — H1 Far + Near | $200+ | Balanced — two H1 strategies (recommended default) |
| HIGH | S1 + S2 + S3 — adds H4 Swing | $500+ | Active — three timeframes |
| HIGHEST | S1 + S2 + S3 + S4 — adds M15 Intraday | $1,000+ | Most active — four strategies |
| SL200 USE WITH RISK% | S5 + S6 — S1/S2 tight 200pt SL variants | $100+ | For Risk % lot sizing — tight stops, larger lots |
| MANUAL SELECT | User configured | — | Toggle each slot individually |
Risk Management Features
- Hard Stop Loss — every position has a fixed SL in points; the EA never trades without one
- Two-Phase Trailing Stop — Phase 1 activates once the position reaches a configurable profit threshold and trails at a tight distance; Phase 2 activates at a larger profit and widens the trail to let winners breathe
- Breakeven Protection — SL is moved to entry plus a configurable lock-in buffer once profit reaches the activation threshold
- Drawdown Control — optionally close all positions and cancel all pending orders when equity drawdown exceeds a defined percentage or dollar amount
- Weekend Protection — automatically stops placing new orders on Friday evening, cancels all pending orders before close, and closes open positions at Friday 23:00
- No Grid. No Martingale. — position size stays flat; the EA never adds to losing trades
False Breakouts Filter
False breakouts are most common when the market is quiet and momentum is low — price taps a key level and immediately reverses with no follow-through. The False Breakouts Filter detects these conditions and holds off on placing orders until real volatility returns. Three modes are available:
- OFF — no filter; all setups are placed regardless of market conditions
- Check on Placing — blocks new pending orders during low-volatility conditions, but orders already placed remain active
- Check every minute — also removes existing pending orders when conditions turn quiet, and re-places them automatically once volatility recovers
Lot Sizing Options
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Fixed Lot Size | A constant lot size for every trade |
| Lots Per Balance | Scales lot size proportionally to account balance |
| Risk % Per Pos | Calculates lot size to risk exactly the specified percentage of equity per open position |
| Risk 0.50% | Preset: 0.50% risk per position |
| Risk 1% | Preset: 1.00% risk per position |
| Risk 1.50% | Preset: 1.50% risk per position |
| Risk 2% | Preset: 2.00% risk per position |
Settings
All key parameters are grouped and clearly labeled inside the EA. You can configure:
- Strategy Preset — LOW / MEDIUM / HIGH / HIGHEST / SL200 USE WITH RISK% / MANUAL SELECT
- Lot Sizing — fixed lot, balance-scaled, or risk-percentage presets (0.50%–2% per position)
- False Breakouts Filter — OFF, check at placement, or check every minute
- Breakeven & Trailing Stop — activation thresholds and distances for both phases
- Drawdown Control — auto-close all trades if equity drops by a set % or $ amount
- Weekend Protection — automatic Friday cutoff for new orders, pending cleanup, and position close
Slippage — What to Expect
GOLDEN BREAK uses pending stop orders (Buy Stop / Sell Stop). When price reaches the trigger level, the order fills as a market order — which means the actual fill price can differ from the trigger price, especially during fast moves or news events. This is a normal characteristic of any breakout system, not a flaw.
What this means in practice:
- On normal sessions, slippage is minimal — fills typically land within a few points of the trigger level
- During sharp news spikes (NFP, CPI, FOMC), price can gap significantly through the trigger — the actual fill may be noticeably worse
- Adverse slippage narrows the effective distance between your entry and stop loss — in extreme cases, the trade can hit SL faster than the backtest suggests
Why pending orders are still the right approach:
- The order only fills when price genuinely breaks the level — you are not chasing the move manually after it has already started
- Every fill still carries a hard stop loss — maximum loss per trade is bounded regardless of slippage
- No position is ever opened during calm, low-momentum conditions where reversals are most likely
To minimize slippage impact, use an ECN or STP broker with tight spreads and low latency execution. A VPS close to your broker's server also helps.

Frequently Asked Questions
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| There are many breakout EAs on the market. What makes GOLDEN BREAK different? | The difference comes down to how levels are defined and how risk is controlled. GOLDEN BREAK uses four independent strategies on different timeframes (H1, H1, H4, M15), each targeting a different breakout context. Entry levels update automatically on every bar of the respective timeframe — no indicators, no lagging signals. The False Breakouts Filter monitors real-time ATR volatility. When momentum drops too low, pending orders are pulled to avoid choppy conditions and re-placed automatically when volatility recovers. Every trade has a hard stop loss set before it fills. No grid, no martingale, no open-ended exposure. |
| How do I control which strategies run? | Use the Strategy Preset dropdown. LOW = S1 only. MEDIUM = S1+S2. HIGH = S1+S2+S3. HIGHEST = all four. Or choose MANUAL SELECT to toggle each strategy slot individually. |
| What is the SL200 USE WITH RISK% preset? | It activates S5 and S6 — tight 200-point SL versions of S1 and S2. This preset is designed for traders using Risk % lot sizing, where a tighter SL means the lot size scales up automatically to maintain the target risk. Not recommended with Fixed Lot. |
| What is the average stop loss per trade? | Stop loss is fixed per strategy: S1 uses 900 points; S2 uses 300 points; S3 uses 1,000 points; S4 uses 500 points; S5 and S6 use 200 points. The actual dollar impact depends on your lot size and risk settings. |
| Does it require any external links or DLL files? | No. No external links, no DLL files, no third-party dependencies. Once installed from MQL5, it runs standalone. |
| Can I run it alongside other EAs? | Yes. Every trade has a hard stop loss so its drawdown impact is contained. Just make sure the magic numbers do not overlap between EAs to avoid conflicts. |
| Are you planning to add support for other currency pairs? | No plans for other pairs in the near future. The focus is on continuing to improve GOLDEN BREAK based on user feedback. |
| Is there a live signal? | Yes: mql5.com/en/signals/2371968 |
| I just bought the EA. What should I start with? | Start with the MEDIUM preset (S1 + S2). It runs two complementary H1 strategies with the same SL, giving you a balanced starting point that's easy to understand and backtest. Once you're comfortable, you can move to HIGH or HIGHEST for more activity. |

Its a robust EA backed by an amazing author. I had issues in the beginning with my broker as it was no optimized for it, but Sakon worked on it and made it so all the things were eventually solved. He is always available to answer any query you have and is extremely helpful. The EA is always been worked on to be improved and its come to a point where I trust this EA more than any others in my portfolio and I have most of the heavy hitters. Keep up the good work Sakon.
