User Instructions

1. Installation & Setup

  • Symbol: Gold (XAUUSD).

  • Timeframe: H1 (1 Hour Chart). The EA uses the H1 trend to filter its entry signals. Running it on other timeframes may affect performance.

  • Account Type: ECN or Low-Spread account recommended for best execution.

2. Recommended Capital

  • Minimum Balance: $1,000 USD (or equivalent).

  • Recommended Balance: $2,000+ USD for optimal risk distribution.

  • Leverage: 1:100 or higher is recommended to handle Gold's margin requirements comfortably.

3. Input Parameters (Defaults are Optimized)

  • Lookback (20): The depth of history the EA analyzes for Order Flow.

  • RiskPercent (1.0): The percentage of your account balance to risk per trade. We recommend starting with 1.0% or lower.

  • StopLoss / TakeProfit: Set to 6000 points (approx. 600 pips) to allow Gold room to breathe.

  • MaxDrawdown (10.0): The safety switch. If equity drops 10% from its peak, the EA will close trades to protect the remaining capital.

4. How to Run

  1. Open the XAUUSD chart on the H1 timeframe.

  2. Drag and drop the Gold Fortress EA onto the chart.

  3. Ensure "Algo Trading" is enabled in your MT5 toolbar.

  4. Check the "Experts" tab to confirm initialization was successful.
