Smart Octave Pro — MetaTrader 5 indicator

Smart Octave Pro is a MetaTrader 5 indicator that divides each confirmed price swing into eighths (octave levels 0/8 to 8/8), draws time-price angles from the swing extreme, and marks a signal when price closes beyond the middle of the swing. For each signal it shows an entry zone, a stop level and three target levels. Signals are calculated on closed bars only and are not redrawn.

How it works

The indicator detects swing highs and lows (5 bars on the left, confirmed 3 bars on the right). When a swing is at least 2 ATR in size, it is divided into eight equal parts. The 3/8, 4/8 and 5/8 levels are highlighted as key levels. A 1x1 angle, scaled with ATR, is drawn from the swing extreme, together with the 1x2 and 2x1 fan lines. The angle unit can be calculated on another timeframe.

A signal appears when a bar closes beyond the 4/8 level within the allowed number of bars and before price has reached the first target. Its strength (Normal, Strong or Very Strong) depends on which fan line the close has crossed. Only one signal is produced per swing.

Signal levels

  • Entry: close of the signal bar
  • Stop level: the 1/8 level, adjustable with a risk multiplier
  • Targets: 0.618, 1.0 and 1.618 of the swing range, measured from the swing origin

Filters

  • Filter mode: off, angles, divisions, or angles and divisions
  • Minimum signal strength
  • Ninja method: Wave A requires a strong candle closing in the signal direction; Wave B requires a retest of the 4/8 level
  • Multi-timeframe match: up to four timeframes must agree with the signal direction
  • Session timer: signals only between a start and a stop time

Panels and alerts

A filter panel shows the status of each active filter (PASS or WAIT). A multi-timeframe panel shows the direction on up to four timeframes. Alerts can be sent as a popup, email or push notification. Standard Mode can be switched off for a clean chart that keeps only the signals.

Data for Expert Advisors

The indicator exposes buffers that can be read with iCustom: 0 Buy arrow, 1 Sell arrow, 2 Entry, 3 Stop, 4 TP1, 5 TP2, 6 TP3, 7 Strength (1 to 3). Empty values are EMPTY_VALUE.

Usage notes

The indicator works on any symbol and timeframe. It does not open trades. Target and stop levels are calculated reference levels, not predictions, and a signal can fail. Test the indicator in the Strategy Tester visual mode before buying, and use it with your own analysis and risk management.
