EA Health Monitor Pro MT4

EA Health Monitor Pro MT4 is an indicator for MetaTrader 4 that watches every Expert Advisor on your account. It shows one row per EA, by magic number. Manual trades get their own row, and each EA gets a result curve. Alarms fire when floating loss or drawdown passes your limit, or when an EA goes quiet.

It only reads the account history and open positions. It never opens, changes or closes a trade.

Standalone: Everything is built in. You do not need to buy or install any other product named on this page.

MetaTrader 4 edition: the same statistics, panel and inputs as the MetaTrader 5 version. MetaTrader 4 keeps orders, not deals: each order is read as its opening and closing deal, and the parts of a partly closed order are one trade. Like any MetaTrader 4 program, it sees the trades loaded in the Account History tab, so choose All History there (right-click the tab).

Quick start

  1. Attach EA Health Monitor Pro to any chart from the Navigator, under Indicators.
  2. Fill in Names (magic=name, comma separated) so each row shows your EA's name.
  3. Check the alarms. Floating loss of 5% of the balance per EA and 10% for all trades are on. The drawdown, money and silence limits are off (0) until you set them.
  4. Pop-up alerts are on. Switch on sound, push or e-mail in the Alerts inputs. Push and e-mail need a setup in the terminal Options.

What it does

  • Per EA: closed trades, net result, win rate, profit factor, expectancy and max drawdown of the realized result. Also today's result, open positions, floating P/L, the worst floating P/L it has shown, and the time of its latest deal.
  • Period: all history, this month, this week or today. Click "All" on the panel to switch. Net and max drawdown count the deals in the period. Trades, win rate and profit factor count the trades closed in it, each with its full result. A trade opened last week and closed today counts today with its whole result.
  • Result curve per EA for the period, each on its own scale, with the last value.
  • Rows in alarm turn red.
  • REPORT button: an HTML report (the table with a curve per EA) and a CSV of the closed trades, written to MQL4\Files\EAHealth.

Alarms

  • Floating loss of one EA above an amount or a % of the balance (5% by default).
  • Floating loss of all trades above a % of the balance (10% by default).
  • Max drawdown of one EA in the period above an amount or a % of the balance.
  • An EA with open trades that has made no deal for a number of hours.
  • AutoTrading switched off, or the terminal disconnected for a minute.
  • Each alarm fires once when its condition starts, and again only after it has cleared. Channels: pop-up, sound, push notification and e-mail.

Counted correctly

  • A trade belongs to the EA that opened it, even when you close it by hand.
  • Partial closes are one trade. Net = profit + swap + commission. MetaTrader 4 books the commission when a trade closes, so the floating result of an open trade includes it.
  • The worst floating P/L is kept in the terminal, so it survives a restart.

How it was checked

  • Code check: a test EA traded in the MetaTrader 4 Strategy Tester. It made 10,402 trading operations: three magic numbers, manual trades, partial closes, close-by and stop-loss closes. At 146 moments, every row was compared with an independent Python calculation from the raw orders: trades, wins, losses, net, profit factor, drawdown, today, open trades and floating. All matched.
