HCS Basket Exposure

HCS Basket Exposure is a read-only MT5 position monitor that summarizes open-position exposure on the current chart symbol. It is designed for traders working with multiple entries, scaled positions, hedged positions, grids, Expert Advisors or manual multi-position trading.

What it shows

  • BUY and SELL position counts, total lots, weighted entry and floating profit/loss.
  • Net lots, gross lots, combined floating profit/loss and a separate swap total.
  • A one-sided basket entry basis where meaningful.
  • Optional dashed buy and sell weighted-entry lines.

Weighted entry is the volume-weighted average entry of the remaining positions on each side. The exposure monitor includes manual and EA positions on the exact chart symbol. Pending orders and other symbols are excluded.

Basket interpretation

When only one side is open, entry basis is that side's weighted entry. With mixed BUY and SELL positions, the basket monitor shows no single entry basis because a combined price can be misleading. Both side entries remain visible.

Floating profit/loss uses MT5 position profit in account currency and excludes swap, commissions and fees. Swap is shown separately.

Weighted entry, entry basis and chart lines exclude trading costs and are not cost-adjusted true break-even prices. Realized results from partial closes and future closing costs are not reconstructed.

Operation

Attach HCS Basket Exposure to the symbol chart you want to monitor. The panel refreshes on price updates and a one-second timer.

User inputs allow adjustment of:

  • Panel horizontal position
  • Panel vertical position
  • Panel font size
  • Weighted-entry line display

Offline status identifies cached terminal data.

In netting mode, the utility displays the current net position rather than a historical trade count.

Read-only by design

HCS Basket Exposure does not open, close or modify trades.

  • Trade recommendations
  • Alerts
  • Market predictions

No licensing, DLLs, external runtime files or external services are required by the utility. MT5's normal broker connection and Market authorization still apply.
