Why Combine Four Independent Strategies?

Why Doesn't Bushido Use Martingale?
Bushido does not use betting systems such as Martingale, averaging down, or grid trading.
This is not simply a design philosophy.
During development, these methods were thoroughly tested as potential components of the system.
However, long-term testing consistently showed increased drawdowns and higher risk of account failure.
As a result, Bushido prioritizes long-term survivability over maximizing short-term returns, and these techniques were intentionally excluded.
Position sizes are never increased after a losing trade.

The 18% permanent stop probability represents the probability of reaching the built-in 18% permanent stop threshold at least once over a 19-year period.
The 95th percentile maximum drawdown ranged from approximately 15.5% under the Recommended setting to approximately 24.8% under the Excessive Risk setting.
In addition, historical testing from 2007 to 2025 shows that both the High Risk and Excessive Risk settings reached the built-in 18% permanent stop during the strong JPY appreciation in 2010.
For this reason, only the Recommended and Aggressive settings are recommended.
These results are based on historical data and Monte Carlo simulations and do not guarantee future performance.
