This KS_SwingHighLowLiquidity indicator. It is designed for MetaTrader 5 and focuses on detecting swing highs and swing lows (pivots) while treating them as liquidity levels — a concept in Smart Money Concepts (SMC) and Inner Circle Trader (ICT) methodologies.
Core Purpose
The indicator identifies significant swing points where price is likely to have accumulated stop-loss orders, pending orders, or resting liquidity. These swings act as "magnets" that price often returns to "sweep" (briefly breach) before reversing or continuing in the opposite direction.
- Swing Highs (plotted in crimson/red tones) represent potential bearish liquidity pools (stops above the high).
- Swing Lows (plotted in medium sea green tones) represent potential bullish liquidity pools (stops below the low).
Once detected, the indicator draws horizontal lines from the swing point that extend rightward. These lines remain active until price fills (crosses) the level, at which point they can optionally stop extending, get hidden, or trigger notifications.
How to Use It in Trading (ICT/SMC Context)
- Liquidity Grabs / Sweeps: Price often wicks above a swing high or below a swing low to collect liquidity, then reverses. The lines help you anticipate these areas.
- Break of Structure (BOS): When price breaks and fills a swing high in an uptrend, it can confirm bullish continuation (liquidity taken, move higher).
- Order Flow Context: Combine with fair value gaps (FVG), order blocks, or sessions. Unfilled swing lines act as potential support/resistance or targets.
- Higher Timeframe Confluence: Use on daily/4H for major levels, lower timeframes for entries.
- Risk Management: Place stops beyond unfilled liquidity levels or trail after a sweep.
- Push notifications (mobile) for:
- New swing high/low formation.
- When a level is filled (liquidity swept).
- AlertOnce prevents repeated alerts for the same level.
