Crossover Hedge Pro v2.01
IT ONLY TRADES US/OIL
Crossover Hedge Pro is a straightforward and disciplined Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It combines a classic 9/21 EMA crossover strategy on the M5 timeframe with an intelligent hedge recovery system to help manage losing trades.
Designed for traders who prefer rule-based systems, this EA enters the market on short-term momentum shifts and uses hedging as a safety net when the price moves against the initial position.
How It Trades
-
Entry Signals The EA uses two Exponential Moving Averages on the M5 chart:
- Fast EMA: 9 periods
- Slow EMA: 21 periods
- Buy Signal: 9 EMA crosses above the 21 EMA
- Sell Signal: 9 EMA crosses below the 21 EMA
It opens only one main position at a time and respects a strict daily limit of 1 trade per day (configurable).
-
Risk Management (Main Trade)
- Stop Loss: 110 points (default)
- Take Profit: 925 points (default) — offering a favorable risk-to-reward ratio
- Trailing Stop: Optional (disabled by default) — trails by 80 points when enabled
-
Hedge Recovery System (Enabled by default) If the main trade moves against you by 233 points, the EA automatically opens a hedge position in the opposite direction.
- Hedge lot size = Main volume × 1.55
- The hedge has no fixed Stop Loss or Take Profit
- When the hedge reaches +85 points in profit, it is automatically closed
This allows the EA to attempt recovery on adverse moves while locking in small profits from the hedge.
-
Daily Trade Control The EA automatically resets its counter at the start of each new trading day, ensuring it never exceeds the maximum number of trades per day.
Key Features
- Simple and clean EMA crossover logic
- Built-in hedge recovery mechanism
- Daily trade limiter for better risk control
- Easy-to-use input parameters
- Works on any symbol (Forex pairs, Gold, Indices, Cryptocurrencies, etc.)
- Uses standard MQL5 hedging functionality
Important Risk Disclaimer
Crossover Hedge Pro does not guarantee profits. Trading involves significant risk of loss. Past performance, whether in backtests or on demo accounts, does not guarantee future results.
Recommendation: Always test the EA on a demo account first before running it on a live account. You can use it on the M5 timeframe as intended, or experiment on higher timeframes such as H1 (1-hour) after proper backtesting and parameter adjustment.
