Super Trend US is a professional trend-following indicator and visual trading system for MetaTrader 4 designed to help traders identify directional market movement, filter weak signals, and analyze multiple markets quickly.
The indicator combines adaptive volatility logic, trend structure analysis, and multi-timeframe confirmation to provide a clear visual representation of market direction.
In addition to the main trend line on the chart, the indicator includes a Signal Matrix panel, which allows traders to monitor several symbols and timeframes simultaneously.
This tool can be used for:
• trend trading
• intraday trading
• scalping strategies
• multi-timeframe analysis
• market scanning across instruments
Clear Trend Visualization
The indicator draws a dynamic trend line directly on the chart:
• Green line — bullish market phase
• Red line — bearish market phase
This line adapts to market volatility and can be used as:
• a directional filter
• a dynamic support/resistance level
• a trailing reference for trade management
• a visual entry area after pullbacks
Trend Change Markers
When the internal conditions of the system confirm a change in market state, the indicator may display special markers that highlight the transition between bullish and bearish phases.
These markers help traders quickly identify potential shifts in momentum.
Signal Matrix Panel
The built-in Signal Matrix allows traders to monitor trend conditions across multiple symbols and timeframes directly from one chart.
The matrix displays the current state of the system for each instrument and timeframe using a simple visual code.
Typical uses include:
• quickly finding trending instruments
• confirming multi-timeframe alignment
• filtering trades against stronger trends
• scanning markets without opening many charts
The indicator contains several groups of settings that control volatility sensitivity, trend filters, visual display, and the Signal Matrix panel.
The internal calculation logic of the system is proprietary and not disclosed, but the functional purpose of each group is described below.
Volatility and Base Trend SettingsThese parameters control how the indicator adapts to market volatility and price movement.
ATR_Period
Defines the period used to measure market volatility.
ATR_Multiplier
Controls how far the trend line is placed from price. Higher values create a smoother trend line with fewer reversals.
PriceSmoothPeriod
Applies smoothing to the base price calculation to reduce market noise.
ATR_SmoothPeriod
Smooths the volatility calculation to stabilize the behavior of the trend line.
These parameters help the system evaluate the underlying trend structure using moving averages.
FastEMA_Period
Period of the fast EMA used to detect short-term momentum.
SlowEMA_Period
Period of the medium EMA used to confirm the trend structure.
LongEMA_Period
Long-term EMA used as a major trend filter.
SlopeLookback
Defines how many bars are used to evaluate the direction of moving averages.
These parameters help filter weak market conditions.
ADX_Period
Period used to measure trend strength.
MinADX
Minimum ADX value required for a trend to be considered valid.
Higher values result in stricter filtering of weak trends.
Breakout and Confirmation SettingsThese parameters help confirm that a movement is supported by price action.
BreakoutLookback
Number of bars used to evaluate recent highs and lows for breakout confirmation.
ConfirmBars
Number of bars required to confirm a new trend state.
Higher values provide stronger confirmation but may delay signals.
Candle and Volatility FiltersThese parameters help ignore very small or weak candles.
MinBodyATR
Minimum candle body size relative to volatility.
VolatilityFactor
Defines minimum volatility conditions required for signal validation.
These settings allow the system to include a higher timeframe directional filter.
UseHTFFilter
Enables or disables higher timeframe confirmation.
HigherTF
Defines which timeframe is used as the higher timeframe filter.
HTF_EMA_Period
EMA period used on the higher timeframe for direction confirmation.
MinTrendScore
Defines the minimum level of confirmation required before the system accepts a new trend state.
Increasing this value results in stricter trend validation.
These parameters control how the indicator appears on the chart.
They include:
• line step behavior relative to volatility
• number of display steps per bar
• dot offset from the trend line
• line widths and colors for bullish and bearish trends
• arrow/dot style and size
These settings allow traders to adapt the visual appearance to their preferences.
Signal Matrix SettingsThe Signal Matrix panel can be customized to monitor different markets.
Key parameters include:
ShowInfoPanel
Enables or disables the Signal Matrix panel.
PanelSymbols
List of symbols to display in the matrix.
PanelTimeframes
List of timeframes to monitor.
PanelCorner / PanelXOffset / PanelYOffset
Control the position of the panel on the chart.
PanelMaxWidthPercent
Defines the maximum width of the panel relative to the chart.
Additional parameters control panel colors, fonts, and appearance.
How to Use the IndicatorSuper Trend US PRO can be used as a standalone visual trading system or as part of a broader strategy.
Basic Trend Trading Approach
Buy Setup
-
The indicator switches to a bullish (green) trend state.
-
Price holds above the trend line.
-
Traders wait for a small pullback or consolidation.
-
Entry can be considered when price resumes upward movement.
Stop Loss can be placed below the recent swing low or below the trend line depending on the trader’s risk model.
Sell Setup
-
The indicator switches to a bearish (red) trend state.
-
Price remains below the trend line.
-
Wait for a pullback toward the trend line.
-
Enter when downward momentum resumes.
Stop Loss can be placed above the recent swing high or above the trend line.
Multi-Timeframe ApproachThe Signal Matrix allows traders to confirm alignment across multiple timeframes.
For example:
• M15 defines the overall direction
• M5 provides the setup
• M1 provides the entry timing
Trades are typically stronger when multiple timeframes show the same direction.
Practical NotesThe indicator tends to perform best during trending market phases.
During very low volatility or ranging markets, signals may be less frequent due to built-in filtering.
For scalping and intraday trading, many traders prefer using the indicator during high-liquidity sessions such as the London and New York sessions.
