Prop Firm Shield monitors your drawdown in real time and closes all positions before you breach the limit. It costs less than a single failed challenge.
This is NOT a trading strategy. It does not place trades, generate signals, or interfere with your edge. It is a risk management utility that sits between you and your prop firm's rules, intervening only when a violation is imminent.

CORE FEATURES
DAILY AND TOTAL DRAWDOWN MONITORING
Real-time equity tracking with percentage-based limits. Supports both Static and Trailing drawdown modes. Visual status indicators: Safe (green), Warning (yellow), Breach (red).
AUTOMATIC POSITION CLOSING
Closes all open positions when drawdown limits are reached. Configurable safety buffer to trigger closure before the actual limit. Enforcement loop keeps trading blocked after breach.
WARNING ALERTS
Configurable alert threshold before breach. On-screen popup and push notification support.
PERSISTENT STATE
Drawdown status is preserved across MT5 restarts and VPS reboots. Daily reset with configurable timezone. Automatic revalidation when parameters change via F7.
ON-CHART DASHBOARD
Displays current equity, drawdown values, percentages, and progress bars. Reference balance visible for daily and total drawdown calculations. Color-coded status. Draggable and minimizable panel.

SMART NEWS FILTER
Blocks trading before and after high-impact economic events. Auto-detects relevant currencies from your chart symbol. Manual currency filter for multi-pair strategies. Configurable impact levels: High only, Medium+High, or All. Visual news markers on chart with color-coded impact.
SESSION FILTER
Define allowed trading hours with full timezone support. Server time, local PC time, or any UTC offset from -12 to +12. Optional auto-close all positions at session end.
RISK CONTROLS
Maximum number of open trades. Maximum total lot exposure. Maximum lot size per single trade. Per-trade risk percentage with no-SL detection (warn or block).
CSV EVENT LOG
Daily log file with timestamps for all events. Breach, warning, news block, session close, and trade actions recorded. Post-session audit trail for review.
PLATFORM SUPPORT
MetaTrader 5 only. Supports both Netting and Hedging accounts (auto-detected). Works with any symbol and timeframe. Compatible with manual trading and other EAs. Exposes PFS_TradeBlocked global variable for cross-EA communication. Strategy Tester compatible (news filter unavailable in tester).
IMPORTANT NOTES
This utility does not open trades. It only monitors and protects. Only one EA can be attached per chart in MT5. Attach to a separate chart when used alongside a trading EA. Does not protect against weekend gaps or market halts. News event names follow your MT5 terminal language setting.
