Overnight Protector is a professional MetaTrader 5 utility designed to temporarily remove Stop Loss levels during a configurable time window and automatically restore them afterward. 🛡️

💾 Persistent Stop Loss Backup

Before removing a Stop Loss, Overnight Protector stores all required information in a persistent journal.

The EA never intentionally removes a Stop Loss unless its value has first been successfully written to disk.

This allows the system to recover after:

• 🔁 MetaTrader 5 restart

• 🖥️ VPS restart

• ⚠️ Terminal crash

• 📡 Temporary internet disconnection

• 🌐 Temporary broker connection problems

If MetaTrader 5 is restarted during an active protection cycle, the EA automatically reloads the saved state and continues the recovery process.

✋ Manual Stop Loss Changes

Overnight Protector is designed to respect manual trader actions.

Outside the protection window, the EA does not modify positions.

If you manually change or remove a Stop Loss outside the configured period, the EA leaves it untouched.

During the protection window, if a new Stop Loss is manually applied, the EA:

1. Detects the new Stop Loss

2. Saves the new value to persistent storage

3. Updates the recovery information

4. Removes the Stop Loss again

5. Restores the latest valid value at the end of the protection period

A Stop Loss value of zero generated by the EA never overwrites a previously stored valid Stop Loss.

🔁 Automatic Recovery & Retry System

If a broker operation fails, the EA does not immediately abandon the position.

Failed Stop Loss removal or restoration operations can be retried automatically using a configurable retry interval.

The EA also checks:

If the terminal is disconnected, the EA does not incorrectly assume that a position has been closed.
