What Zone Verdict Actually Does — In Plain Language

1. It Reads Institutional Structure, Not Indicator Noise

Zone Verdict connects directly to the Smart Money Concepts (LuxAlgo) indicator via iCustom and reads its live signal buffers for Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHoCH) events. These are the same structural events institutional desks use to define trend continuation and trend reversal. The EA does not reinterpret them. It does not average them. It reads them cleanly, bar by bar, from the indicator you already trust.

2. It Demands Candle Confirmation Before Committing Capital

This is where Zone Verdict separates itself from the crowd.

When a bullish BOS or CHoCH prints, the EA does not open a Long. It arms itself. Then, on the next fully completed M5 candle, it asks one question: did this candle close green?

• If yes — the Long opens at the close of that confirmation candle.

• If no — the signal is discarded. The EA returns to idle and waits for the next structural event.

The same logic applies in reverse for Shorts: a bearish BOS or CHoCH must be followed by a red close on the next completed candle before any Short is opened.

This single rule eliminates the majority of false breakouts that destroy signal-chasing EAs. It forces the market to prove itself twice before Zone Verdict commits a single cent.

3. Every Trade Is Born With a Fixed, Predictable Stop Loss

Zone Verdict does not use trailing stop guessing games or volatility-expanding stops that quietly widen during news events. Every position opens with a fixed Stop Loss measured in USD or points — fully editable in the EA inputs.

• Default range: $6.00 – $7.00 on XAUUSD

• Equivalent to 600 – 700 points (60 – 70 pips on most gold brokers)

• User-adjustable at any time, with full normalization handling for 2-digit, 3-digit, and 5-digit XAUUSD quoting conventions

4. The Equilibrium Grey Zone Becomes Your Take Profit — and Your Exit Signal

This is the heart of Zone Verdict's design philosophy.

The Equilibrium Zone — the "Grey Zone" drawn by the Smart Money Concepts indicator, representing the 50% midpoint of the most recent structural range — is treated by Zone Verdict as the most probable destination of any counter-trend move. When a Short is opened following a bearish structural break, the EA projects the Take Profit directly at or near the Equilibrium Zone, because that is where price most frequently stalls, reverses, or finds balance.

But Zone Verdict does not blindly wait for TP to be hit. It actively monitors price behavior at the zone and applies a second rule that most EAs ignore completely:

If price reaches the Equilibrium Zone and finds support there — without breaking through — Zone Verdict closes the Short immediately.

This is not a stop-loss exit. This is not a trailing-stop exit. This is a structural exit — the EA recognizing that the zone has done its job and the market is telling it to step aside. It locks in whatever profit has been earned at the zone and removes exposure before the reversal can eat into gains.

5. After the Zone Exit, It Waits — Patiently and Deliberately

Most EAs, the moment they close a position, immediately scan for the next setup. This is how accounts bleed during choppy reversals.

Zone Verdict does the opposite. After closing a position at the Equilibrium Zone, the EA enforces a cooling-off period measured in completed M5 candles. The number of candles is fully editable via the CandlesToWaitAfterExit input.

During this waiting window:

• No new Longs are evaluated

• No new Shorts are evaluated

• The EA continues to read structure and track the Equilibrium Zone, but it does not act

Only when the waiting period has fully elapsed does Zone Verdict resume evaluating new structural signals. This one feature alone has saved more accounts than any indicator ever will.

The Complete Trading Logic — Step by Step

Step 1 — Structure Signal Detected
The Smart Money Concepts indicator prints a BOS or CHoCH on a completed M5 bar. Zone Verdict notes the direction and the bar index.

Step 2 — Confirmation Candle Evaluated
On the very next completed M5 candle, Zone Verdict checks the candle's direction. Long requires a green close. Short requires a red close. No confirmation, no trade.

Step 3 — Position Opened at Confirmation Close
The trade is opened at the exact close price of the confirmation candle — not at the next tick, not at the next bar's open. This eliminates entry slippage caused by delayed evaluation.

Step 4 — Stop Loss Attached Immediately
A fixed Stop Loss (in USD or points, user-defined) is attached to the position within the same execution cycle. No naked positions, ever.

Step 5 — Take Profit Projected at Equilibrium
For Shorts, Take Profit is placed at or near the Equilibrium Grey Zone. For Longs, TP is projected symmetrically against the upper boundary of the same zone logic.

Step 6 — Active Equilibrium Monitoring
While the trade is open, Zone Verdict monitors the Equilibrium Zone on every completed M5 bar. If price reaches the zone and rejects (finds support for a Short, or resistance for a Long) without breaking through, the EA closes the trade immediately — capturing the structural move at its most reliable point.

Step 7 — Cooling-Off Period Enforced
After a zone-based exit, Zone Verdict enters a mandatory wait state for the number of candles you specify. It does not evaluate new entries until the waiting period is fully complete.

Step 8 — Cycle Repeats
Once the waiting period expires, Zone Verdict returns to Step 1 and resumes reading structure — fresh, disciplined, and unemotional.
