The signal is run by the same Expert Advisor whose logic you see in the public statistics. For a result close to the signal, run Hector Gold EA on the recommended settings and on an ECN/RAW account with zero or low spread (FxPro, Ultima Markets, Fusion Markets, IC Markets). On other brokers behavior may differ — test it on tick data. For broker compatibility questions, use the product comments.
Please note that the live account history is not uniform. It covers three stages: the old version of the EA, a period of unsuccessful lot-size experiments, and the new version of Hector, running since 02.09.2026. Judge the current logic by trades from that date onward; earlier statistics do not reflect the current version.
Hector — 74 Gold Strategies in One Expert Advisor
Hector is a grid EA for XAUUSD built as a portfolio of 74 independent strategies. Each one waits for its own setup and trades at its own pace: some run short, frequent series, others fire rarely and go deeper. Different grid depths and different trigger speeds spread the load across time and market phases — the account never depends on a single scenario.
Set file for your broker
By default all strategies are disabled — the EA will not open a single trade until a set file is loaded. The strategy mix is tuned separately to each broker's price feed, so after purchase send me a private message with your broker and account type, and I will send you a ready-made set file for it.
Protection is built in, not recommended
- The stop loss is mandatory and cannot be switched off. It is set as a percentage of balance (3–30 %) and applies separately to each strategy — several open baskets mean several independent stops.
- Basket hedging is available as an option.
- Full control: any of the 74 strategies can be enabled or disabled; lot size and stop level are adjustable to your deposit.
How it was tested
- History from 2020, several brokers with different price feeds.
- Every year was tested separately, without compounding, with the deposit reset — a year's result does not depend on the profit accumulated before it.
- Strategies were selected on one period and verified on an out-of-sample (OOS) period that took no part in the selection.
- All tests: deposit $10,000, fixed lot 0.02, stop loss 5 %.
Recommended settings
- $1,000 – $9,999 — lot 0.01
- $10,000 – $19,999 — lot 0.02
- then +0.01 for every additional $10,000
This is a conservative profile. A larger lot or a looser stop means a deeper drawdown and a higher chance of consecutive stops — that risk stays with the user.
About stops, honestly
A stop being hit is part of the system, not a malfunction. Recovering the balance afterwards takes days or weeks, and two or three stops in a row in a trending market are normal. Hector is not for those who expect 100 % per month, nor for those who cannot sit through a drawdown.
