Uladzimir Izerski:

Then I'll answer.

5-10% got a better life. They got factories, factories, means of production, and the rest got mobile phones, access to porn sites, drugs.

Those 90% enjoy life and the 5 work.

I don't agree. Better lives are being made for ALL.

Once again, I suggest you look at the roads, which are simply littered with cars of not the cheapest brands.

Yes to the current housing - from the mansions of the rich, to the quarters of the poor - ALL are better off.

I didn't get factories and plants.

And then?

Your life will accept reality as it is.

СанСаныч Фоменко:

The charts are still there!

Which of the products on these graphs were consumed MORE in 2015 than in 1991? NONE!

Why are you twisting things around?

Where's the "overstating" ? Meat - back to the same, bread - down. Which shows that the consumption pattern has become richer, and people are working more easily.

A person can't eat more than his stomach can hold. And this volume was reached in the 70th. It simply can't grow any further. But it can decrease - due to greater diversity (which is an indicator of the standard of living).

George Merts:

I disagree. Better lives have been made for ALL.

Once again I suggest you look at the roads, which are simply littered with cars that are not the cheapest brands.

Yes on the current housing - from the palaces of the rich, to the paupers' quarters - the richer live ALL.

And the Chinese haven't started driving expensive cars:%;#"!#;%:?

Dmitry Fedoseev:

I didn't get the factories and plants.

How did "I didn't get" ???

Go ahead and work - any factory needs a lot of people to work... Finding a place for 10-12tr a month is a piece of cake... But no one wants to work... Everyone wants to earn 50-100tr and work for less than 10tr... These sentiments are clearly not those of employees but of factory owners...

George Merts:

Exactly, which is why the whole industry had to be destroyed at the root, because a plane cannot be cheaper than a train.

Now everything is slowly coming back, I don't see any reason to lament "all the polymers are fucked up". Everything has been preserved and multiplied. People have clearly started to live better, on the previous pages one could see graphs of consumption, cheap products have become less consumed, more expensive ones. Which just goes to show that the people are clearly not poor.

That they began to live better I do not need to prove it, I myself always tell the non-believers. It's been a long time and there is plenty to compare it to. The question is the other thing, if not to destroy but to reform effectively, as in China, these results could be achieved much earlier and without blood and casualties.

Uladzimir Izerski:

How should I know? There are no Chinese around me, I'm not talking about them... I mean our people... My parents at my age lived noticeably worse than I did. For a minimum pension of 18 rubles in USSR you could buy noticeably less goods than for a minimum pension of 5 rubles now...

Cars are out of the question... A new Zhiguli Kopeck in the 70s cost 5,600. "The Third was 8,000 and change. "Sixth was 10 a penny. And the average salary - was around 150 rubles.

There is a film - "Where is Noflet", 1987, it says very well that for a leading design bureau engineer a salary of 200 roubles is quite good. Compare it with today's salaries and prices of cars.

Who could have reformed at that time? Everybody wanted freedom!

It was the hardworking Chinese who remained loyal to the Communist Party, and the Communist Party had enough administrative resources for reform.

But here, the party compromised itself and lost real power. So we had to take the path of destruction.

khorosh:
There is no need to prove to me that we are living better, I always tell non-believers that myself. It's been a long time and there is plenty to compare it to. The question is something else, if not to destroy, and effectively, as in China to reform, these results could be achieved much earlier and without blood and sacrifice.

Indeed.

Without destroying it, we would have gone a lot further. And so we are stomping into the abyss.
