Using CCI to Make a Living Off Forex - page 25

Post #1 Version of NonLagMa now good!

altoronto:
Put this one in indicator folder and it will work fine, it's almost the same as from first post.
James the Giant:
I posted the correct non lag Ma on the first post, so the CCI trend display will work now with the first set of indicators.

Thanks Altoronto & James! As soon as I downloaded the correct version of NonLagMa (now found in Post #1) the trend indicator worked as it should.

Anyone using the EA?

Hi

is there anyone who can give some feedback on how the EA made by Altoronto is working? Its called cciEA_v1a.

Thanks/Ingvar

I have not used the ea, but it is a basic one based on CCI 0 level. I would advise to use the ASI for entries and exits as it is based on price action and not indicators.

How is everyone finding this strategy? Maybe we can further improve it further.

And how is everyone finding the ASI trendlines? I have also added a MTF fractal indicator which gives you the Daily, and 4 HR fractals on the 1 HR time frame.

Update: Templates posted on second post!

Templates

Here are two templates.

First template has both CCI and Non Lag Trend Displays.

Second template only has the Non Lag Ma on a bar chart.

Plus I have added a MTF fractal indicator that shows you 4 HR and Daily fractals on the 1 HR chart.

You can also set the trend displays to show on only a current pair which is nice if you want to only look at one chart and only have the timeframe data for that pair without the correlations.

Giant...q

Unless I am missing something and taking very profitable trades

from my own mistaken version of this system, LOL

I think this is great.

I only wish I could tell EASILY what the trend idenitifers

ie the cci and non lag display would show at the time

for back testing... if there was anyway to know

that at candle open/close the status... I could have

even some fun on the boring weekends waiting for

Sunday! lol

Listen.. I am using this system but the entries I

take are on the hour.. the hit rate is so high...

I have a set SL and TP on each trade and

let the trades go.. absolutely fantastic.

Really basic 50/25 cci 50 cci has to already be

in the correct direction with nonlag

agreeing when 25 cci crosses 0 in the

trade direction, crosses 100 back towards

the trade direction OR trend cci joins

entry cci already above or below

0 and the entry cci is not overheated.

Easy rules... when price stops at a MM

level or fib pivot then I may close

early..otherwise set and leave it.

Am I trading this differently than you?

Besides the 4Hour/1hour difference?

Brian

Yes! Thread has some life in it!

There are not many ways to trade this strategy but the way the rules suggest, so how you trade my strategy, is how I intended it to be used. The higher period CCI and Non Lag are what makes this a good system. They work together very well, and are on the border of being magical. Feel free to post some pictures of your trades if you like. They are always fun to see.

Here is one from today...

I did not enter till the first red line as the trade was setup,

but the trend indicators did not really agree till then.

Let it go past my usual tp as it became strong

the move and went right to the next MM level below.

Lol well..

Well, I had to ask... it just is so simple and the hit rate

seriously... I can't understand why its been so quiet

I thought maybe I made it too simple. LOL

thanks

Yeah I am not sure why this thread has died down. I am sure it will come back to life at some point. It is a great strategy because it takes all the important factors of market moves into account which many strategies left out.
