Yes.. I am still learning about RAS myself. I THOUGHT that as the RAS 'EA' was attached to my EURUSD only, it would only send you the EURUSD signals only. I had no idea it sent through ALL trades. We are trying bits and pieces out, counter trend and trend etc (stuff which works on paper) along with some reliable indicators etc. Its a big shame as it hits our near 100% record, but that's the way the cookie crumbles.
Anyway, bring on next week. Trading may be light at first, but we are hoping 2010 brings you all (and us) lots and lots of positive pips!

Hello I am a RAS clubfx108 subscriber. I am running it in sim and the two signals from today; RAS # 533729 & 534115, I had to close myself. You show a close on 534115 at 15:00:08.
Also, I am seeing a 2 minute delay on orders. I will watch this closer and provide you more information. I have subscribed to other RAS ID's and have seen similar delays.
Although RAS seems like a great idea..... there seems to be some inherent latency.

Hi - thanks for the info. RAS does seem like a nice idea - in theory. I think there are some latency issues and delay issues amongst other things which need to be sorted out.
Please keep us informed of other problems. Lets hope the RAS guys are reading this.
RAS timings
Hello I am a RAS clubfx108 subscriber. I am running it in sim and the two signals from today; RAS # 533729 & 534115, I had to close myself. You show a close on 534115 at 15:00:08.
Also, I am seeing a 2 minute delay on orders. I will watch this closer and provide you more information. I have subscribed to other RAS ID's and have seen similar delays.

Thanks for any help or comments.I thing the RAS ea polls the file ras_buyer1(version).csv which i guess is updated by the dll. I don't think there is any form of sleep, but i guess its driven off the start() ea call so i would think that it it is quicker if the ea is used from a liquid currency. Depending on the time of day/night i could imagine delays of a few seconds, but not minutes. I have seen the ea perform http requests so either the:
1. The RAS server is congested
2. The information posted by the seller doesn't update the RAS db that the buyer takes from without a delay
3. You times are wrong - have you checked your clock - are you using ntp

PS I just checked my timing on the last few RAS db entries and can't help immediately - my VPS is out by several minutes and i don't have admin privileges to correct it. My server timestamps only show to the minute (have to get a better report to go down to second) but the last half dozen are withing the same minute. Generally i get +/- 2 or 3 pips of the RAS db prices (broker is JadeFX) - but they seem to be effective

all trades coming through just fine for me.

Check Duwi (Scalper, Siti Zahra Siti Zahra | Rent a Signal ) or Kriss Kross http://www.rentasignal.com/signal/view/21617 they are scalping. I can't get anything useful from Siti Zahra but that might just be the spreads. I'll do a post by post comparison sometime and feed back

Not trying to say there are no RAS delays (because there are !), but in this case i got both signals - and on the minute (not that that shows latency)

I can't run the Tick Sender - the ticksender mentioned - or the one on fx1.net (windows errors - not sure if VPS allows it - i don't have admin) - I have all EA on a EUR/USD, 1H chart

No latency last night. clubfx108 great system.
Yesterday, I moved to a VPS on forex-24h.com and I am seeing better results last night. There appears to be no latency. I will keep checking. Thanks for everyone's comments.
Having been on many blogs, you guys were actually quite polite with my post. No one blew me out of the water trying to argue with what I was seeing regarding my system's performance. Everyone provided helpful insight and suggestions to the problem. Kudos to the group.
