Yes, martingale.

You can see from this statement (it is for the past 2 days):

Hi Newdigital,

Thanks for creating the polyfitscalper, it looks very interesting.

I've been running a demo account on FXCM for a couple of days using the new_settings.set and PolyFitScalper_v1.59_noHedge.mq4 and the results look good. However one thing that I've noticed is that your lot sizes are smaller that what I am getting using your settings, for example last night I was getting lot sizes of 9.3, 6.2, 4.10, etc for gbpusd.

I have checked the properties of the EA when it is running in metatrader and the options match up with what is in the new_settings file. I was wondering if there is another setting that I have to change to get the same lot sizes that you are getting, because a lot size of 9.3 is very scary

Thanks

Thanks for creating the polyfitscalper

It was created by Igorad and improved by other coders.

However one thing that I've noticed is that your lot sizes are smaller that what I am getting using your settings

My starting lot size is 0.01. If you are on FXCM so your started lot size is 0.1? I am using FXCM demo account provided to me for RAS service for clones That is why I am having min lot size as 0.01 for FXCM. But as I remember - the normal minimum for FXCM is 0.1.

As I know (from RAS service discussion) that they (FXCM) promissed to reduce their minimum to 0.01 but I am not sure for now sorry.

One member is trying to use IBFX Australia (ECN, min lot size = 0.01, hedge is allowed, etc). So, try it too.

Thanks for explaining about FXCM Newdigital, it stops me from banging my head against a brick wall trying to figure out where I was going wrong.

New user

Hi All,

I have just joined the forum. I am in the process of moving from eSignal to MetaTrader for forex trading.

I have tried to setup the polyfitScalper 1.7.3. Just wanted to make sure everthing is in order as I did not see any orders being placed for some time now.

I am using FOREX.com for my demo acc. (GBP account)

Also the symbols names are a bit different on FOREX.com. (Eg: EURCHF is quoted a EURCHFFXF/EURCHFPro). Since the symbol is different would I have to do configure/change anything for the EA to work?

What are average number of trades placed by this EA? ( I will give it a run for the whole day and see if any orders are placed.

Thanks

Jai

Hi Newdigital. How can I know when you forward-tested an EA?

Hi Newdigital,

I would like to know how I can see the date when you started to forward-test an EA?

Looking at the screenshots of posting, I can not know when you started forward-testing an EA.

The reason for this is that I would like to know and check the profitability of an EA being forward-tested by you based on the long period of time. For example, if an EA being tested for 1 week or 1 month, even with good profit does not mean it will make consistent profits month after month.

But if an EA being forward-tested for many months (for example, at least 3 months up to 6 months), even with lower net profit gain and little higher max drawdown, higher relative drawdown is still worth being judged as a profitable ea, because it has passed many months of up and down markets with lots of unexpected news happened, but it still could survive and made good profit.

For example, how long have you forward-tested Polyfitscalper ea, which version, etc, and how long have you forward-tested Mandarine with Martingale ea, etc?

Thanks for your detailed explanations and giving some examples.

Best regards,

James

You san see.

All those images are forward testing only.

With the date of starting.

Example (started in August this year):

Just click on any similar image of any post and see the date.

Hi Newdigital,

As Polyfitscalper ea is a scalper that works on specific trading hours only, I would like to know if we need to change the Timeshift if using this ea on different brokers?

"TimeShift=0 is for Alpari UK(GMT+1), e.g., for MB Trading TimeShift=-6".

So, suppose I use IBFX with GMT = 0, then, should I change Timeshift = -1 ? or just leave Timeshift = 0 ?

If using FXDD with GMT = +2, then, Timeshift is +1?

How important is Timeshift function here?

Please kindly advise further information.

Thanks and regards,

James
