Fifo

Hi everyone, I see that hedging was addressed for this EA, but was wondering if FIFO (First In First Out) ever was for any of the posted versions. There are quite a few US brokers that don't allow this now.

I have tested 1.59, 1.60, 1.7, but they all appear to close positions opened later than previous ones, thus breaking the rule.

Basically the only way to get around this is to close all positions in a collective basket, in the order they were opened.

I was looking for a setting in the EA versions that might change this, but never came up with anything. Anyone know?

Thanks very much for all the hard work and effort.

Hi winias,

I am trading 1.59_noHedge and trades are closing on the same time (simultaniously) for martingale cycle (per pair/chart).

I will upload the statement tomorrow.

May be I missed something so sorry ...

Thanks for the reply ND. In visual backtests I noticed it would close some groups in a collective basket, but if it got in "trouble" would close later positions first to minimize drawdown. This strategy simply works better and I understand why this was done this way.

This FIFO rule was the one that really bothered me when they put all these in place. It is, after all an accounting issue and not one that need be done on the trading platform. Anyway, thanks again.
