V1andV2 Hedged EA: Beautiful Equity Curve - page 62

I've added some volatility adapting features to this ea. Could you guys please run some forward and backtests??

WOW!... I just read all 62 pages on this thread. Unfortunately all my excitement went away when I saw alot of accounts got blown out on the 200 pip swing.

Anyway, I was using a 10point3 system on demo and loved it... It made quite a bit on a mini account in just 3-4 weeks. However, like everyone with this EA it got blown up on the eur/usd. I started testing the v1+v2mini5% about 2 days ago. I was pretty excited until I got to the end of this topic.

So, at this point in time are the EA's within this thread bad? I really don't want to waste time testing if we already determined that they will blow up accounts with large swings.

I had some questions about these EA's, but I will save them for later if I really decided to start using them.

I'm just looking for some input as it seems this thread kinda died out after the accounts blew up.

Thanks,

Doug

The risks to rewards for this EA is just not good enough to trade on a live account. You'd need a very large account to safely trade 0.01 lots, and even then there's a risk of your account blowing up.

I have tested this EA quite a bit and the returns are decent, roughly 1-10% a month on 0.01 lots, however the account blew up after 1 month of testing when there was a strong movement in the EURUSD.

So if you think about it.. 1-10% return with a 90% drawdown and margin calls.. it's just not worth the trouble. I wouldn't recommend using this EA as it is.

Kinda what I thought. I'm messing with the pipmaker ea now, but I don't really understand what it does yet. However, I think the risk of it is similar to the v1v2 ea.

Greetings,

I have searched a long time for an EA that works well in all markets, and I finally found one. I want to say right upfront that this EA is not mine, I did not develop it, and can take no credit for it whatsoever. It is all the work of one who goes by cucurucu.

The advantages of a Martingale method of trading is "no losses". The disadvantage, of course, is a huge loss. By this I mean that Martingale EA's seek to have no losses by "doubling up" after losing trades, until the market turns and recoups all losses and then some. But of course what happens if the market doesn't turn, pretty soon the "doubling up" wipes out your account.

This EA, the "V1 and V2" EA provides the best of both worlds. It increases lot size as the market is going in one direction, but since it is a "hedging" EA it also takes profits as the market goes in one direction, which helps greatly in offsetting any negative effects of increasing lot sizes during losing trades.

My experience with this EA is that it is one fantastic EA. I backtested for awhile and then jumped right in to live trading. You can backtest it on EUR/USD and see that it is quite profitable and has a very smooth equity curve.

I am attaching the EA on this post, and in the following posts will be placing pertinent comments from the developer, cucurucu, as well as additional modifications to the EA that have taken place to allow trading mini accounts, taking profit every 5%, and a few others. Cucurucu said that he would come in here and post a modification to allow the changing of lot sizes/risk, etc. sometime this coming week.

This EA, as is attached to this post, requires that two charts of the same currency be open in order to trade properly. One chart will have "V1" on it, and the other chart will have "V2" on it, since you cannot place the two EAs on one chart. In another post I will attach a modification that allows you to place the "V1andV2" on one chart. Any timeframe is fine, as this EA only looks at the current price which is the same on all timeframes.

So test out this wonderful EA. Post your thoughts/questions, etc. But let us please keep this thread solely about the V1andV2 EA, or its modifications, and no other EAs.

Thank you.

Mike

I thought I am the only one know how to this Hedging Concept. I used this concept to play in casino Baccarat Game. I lost Straight 25 games hoping to win one game to recoup everything. But money ran out. any way I have found a way that you won't have to worry about drawn down or margin call. I have asked codersguru programm it for me, hopefully be done soon

Is this something you plan to share here on the forum, keep to yourself, sell, or other?

Only a safety lock is missing

Hi,

This system is doing very well in a demo account of mine. I think there is only one thing missing in it: a safety lock. A few lines of code that watch the market for strong moves without retracement (a potential risk of crashing the account). Something like: if market has moved X pips in less than Y bars, then close out all positions and stop trading. Sure, this could kill promissing trades. Best settings could be found by backtesting. Restarting to trade is an open question. Maybe manually could be the best answer.

I don't know how to code this, but I will find (I have a lot to learn about MQL). Some people here could do it easily.

I found this on another thread. It should be close to what you need

good!!I like it .

insurance for Martingala

Martingala based EA are quite good and they make pips contnuosly, but some time happens you blow your accont or you stai with a big loss position waiting and hoping il will come back to you.

I wonder... or better I ask to people with more and more esperience than me in this forum:

is not possible to set an order against the actual position when the trend i going against the EA?

I mean if for example I am long and I have already cumulate all my position and the cross is going down ,as last order I can open a short position to compensate and "fix" my equity.

Then whwn the cross return up, I close my short position and the game restart.

All must be well calculated in buy and stop loss position.

It is a sort of "freezing" the position, but it means to do not blow your account. Shere could be trouble if the value is ranging across the last position...

Excuse my bad English, I hope post is understandable.
