New TakeProfit and StopLoss for USDJPY
Hi Hendrick,
I just found a NEW BEST setting for USDJPY.
Take Profit = 84
Stop Loss = 84
Trailing Stop = 35
Tested with risk=0.3, Data May-October 2006
This will increase the profit from USD 114,433 to USD 345,913 (3 times)
Increase the winning probability from 83% to 89%
Profit factor increased from 1.54 to 6.17
Maximum Drawdown reduced from 53% to 22%
I try to apply the same setting for GBPJPY, but it doesn't work better than your setting.
So this is a very good result. You can try it.
If other people want to do testing on this new setting, you must go into the code of Phoneix, Line 122 (USDJPY) and change TakeProfit, StopLoss and TrailingStop.

Your Parameters on your testing report you left all the info out Take profit, DXBUYSELL etc. are you saying just change based on the current Hendricks preset File just change these three items Take Profit, Stop Loss and Trailing Stop and the risk 0.3 and leave everything else alone? thanks!

Yes, that's right. Line 122.
The above backtest is using starting capital $1000.

Low profit this week using Phoenix v4_2_03!
I started to forward test it on Monday and I'll try to post my results weekly on friday. All settings are default
Anyone with different results?

Following Sashken idea of take profit 140, I test this GBPUSD with this new setting and getting better result though USDJPY is still the best one.
Take Profit = 140
Stop Loss = 84
Trailing Stop = 50
Tested with risk=0.3, Data May-October 2006
Starting Capital 1000 USD
This will increase the profit from USD 12,136 to USD 54,158
Decrease the winning probability from 80% to 78%
Profit factor increased from 1.41 to 1.81
Maximum Drawdown reduced from 41% to 32%
To change the code, change line 215. Change only TakeProfit, StopLoss and TrailingStop.
However I can't find better setting for EURUSD, USDCHF, GBPJPY

i mean why u have 2 test with same preset and they acting different ?Hendrick has put all the setting into Phoenix EA, so people will not have much problem in setting when testing this EA. By using
PrefSettings=true
then the EA will use its standards setting for many currencies.
If you want to use your own setting then the Preferred Settings must be set to false, and you need to complete all the parameters below.
So I just change the standard code inside the EA. I post the EA I am using up there.
