kamyar:
i will post the other information soon.but at first i want to offer you two short document to make you more familiar.there is a book in the froum that newdigital offerd it about all pattern description you can find it

I couldn't agree with you more about pattern recognition. Even being able to read the price bars and seeing double inside bar movements, as well as the flags and penants with respect to continuation patters.

May I ask you how long you have been trading this way?

Hi:

Does anyone know the code to set an Alert for the NonLag indicator? I'd like to hear/see and alert whenever a new line is drawn.

Thanks

Fatal Crash on WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02 for Screen Shots

I am using the WRR_ZUP_INFO_V02 with ZUP73. The screen shot feature seems to crash the MT4 when I set the SreenShotWhenPatternChange = TRUE. I have tried this on multiple MT4 platforms and on different PCs and I still get the same crash. It happenes immediately after setting the value to TRUE. Below is the text I get on the critical error.

Any help would be appreciated.

search patterns

I like very much this search patterns. But can someone help me to understand what does means the number that compare when a pattern was formed?

In the image you can see (up on the left): Real_Butterfly_bearish M30_3

What does means 3?

Do you think is a good indicator for research patterns or you suggest others?

Thank you for your help.

Files:

Is there any way to get the different patterns (bat, crab, gartley) etc.. each in its own color? So instead of the dark blue, it could be green? I checked the "Inputs" and "Colors" in the ZUP_v82 custom indicator property box but I don't see it (so if Im missing something, what is the field called?)

Thank you so much!

fxadvisory,

I have recreated the crash you noted above on my PC that runs Windows XP Professional, Service Pack 3.

It seems that there is a problem with the latest MT4 version 4, build 220. There is a work-around but it is inconvenient and messy. Here is the situation and the fix.

The short explanation is that for the time being until MetaQuotes decides to fix this bug, use the new version of the indicator called WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 (ssOn = Screen Shot On) when you want to run screen shots, and use the old version, WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.mq4, when you don't want to run screen shots.

A more detailed explantion follows:

WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.mq4 as posted was compiled with extern bool ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = false; so that screen shot files where not being created each status change and so excess files would not fill up the hard drive. When this value was changed to true using Indicator List->Edit->Inputs it used to work, but now it crashes. What ever build was current as of 2008.07.17 used to work.

A new version called WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 (ssOn = Screen Shot On) is attached below. This version is idential to WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.mq4 except it was re-compiled with extern bool ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = true;

To correct the crash problem (only necessary if you want to run screen shots):

1. Delete WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02 from all charts.

2. Close MT4.

3. Move or copy new version WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 into folder named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\

4. Open MT4 which will automatically compile WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4.

5. Place the indicator on the chart in the normal fashion.

NEVER set ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = false with WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4, then turn off MT4. You can however, set ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = false while using MT4, then change it back to true, while MT4 is running. ALWAYS set set ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = true before turning off MT4.

If you set ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = false, then turn off MT4, then turn MT4 back on again, then try to set ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = true again, it will crash again.

If you do crash the new version WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4, and want to get the screen shot to work again:

1. Delete WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 from all charts.

2. MOVE WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 from folder named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\ to another folder such as the desktop.

3. Delete WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.ex4 from folder named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\

4. Close MT4.

5. Move or copy WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 back into folder named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\.

5. Open MT4 which will automatically compile WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.mq4.

6. Place the indicator on the chart in the normal fashion.

The MT4 bugs in build 220 seem to be as follows:

1. If you close WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 or WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.mq4 with ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = false, then turn off MT4, then turn on MT4 and try to set it to true, it crashes. If you close WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4 with ScreenShotWhenPatternChange = true, then reopen it, screen shots works.

2. If you delete the WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.ex4 file from the folder named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\, then close the program then reopen the program, MT4 build 220 does not recompile WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4. The WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4, must first be removed from the directory named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\ , then MT4 must closed, then the WRR_ZUP_INFO_v02.04ssOn.mq4, must be put back in the directory named C:\Program Files\\experts\indicators\, then MT4 must be re-opened for it to compile.

I have posted a zip file below that contains all the necessary files.

Cheers!

WRR

It's ok!

Thanks Kamyar,

It's really great.

I will read it.

Important question

Thanks alot for this indicator the zup by its different versions

would you like to explain for me how can i trade depending on the reading of zup indicator

i mean when certain pattern appear there is a rectangle and range for D saying for example Bearish butterfly 136.90 < range of price D< 138.44

does it means i enter short (sell) trade at price 136.90 and my stop loss is 138.44 and what will be my profit traget?

Thanks for your help

A question?

Finally I finished this thread. Very interesting indicator. I was just wondering if there is any indicator telling you that a pattern is forming?

hi
