May be ...

Just don't use this EA in 5th date of every month (and 4th and 6th).

It was the discussion about it:

big bug in 0.65 version (did not fixed yet). Read this page and this one to understand the bug and why it was not fixed yet.

This bug was fixed.

Fixed version is here https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173367/page15

Error when compiling firebird and more questions

Hi,

I'm new to this forum and I have a few questions:

1) When compiling the expert advisor firebird v0.65 I get the following error:

can someone please attach the correct file? (I was able to compile other expert advisors)

'(' - unexpected token C:\DOCUME~1\user3\LOCALS~1\Temp\Temporary Directory 1 for Firebird v0.65.zip\EA_settings\Firebird v0.65.mq4 (260, 11)

2) I couldn't find a debugger for metatrader 4 and I would like to ask how do you write expert advisors without a debugger?

3) can I run multiple expert advisor from the same machine and if not what is the solution for running multiple expert advisors at the same time.

4) Since I'm new to writing expert advisors with mt4 is there a good article on how to approach it, for example the difference between certain pairs of currencies, different strategies etc..

Thanks!

All EAs are on this thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/176044

Firebird is on this post https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173367/page15

It should not be an error.

If you get an error so look at this post about how to fix it easy https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/173367/page36

Yes, you can run many EAs (but limited number of EA depends on trading systems) on the same metatader and same PC.

For some preliminary information about how to write EA and so on please read this thread https://www.mql5.com/en/forum

Results question

Hi,

The firebird EA has total results on the usdchf pair of 39000+ pips since starting.

Was this total compiled from using multiple versions? How well is the latest version doing?

Are there any recent results?

It sounds like there was a problem causing too many orders to open. If it has results like that, how is it a problem? Was that on a newer version than what was used to accumulate the results noted above? I am confused because it has great results yet there's talk of a bug. I would think, if it did that well, people would stop changing it, and there would be one version. Any explanation of the evolution process and the current state of the evolution of this EA would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Scott

It is total for one pair. I am making the statements by pairs (having some tool for that).

Yes, you are right: too many pips in profit or in loss is resulted from too many orders to open at 5th of every month.

No any evolution process of the development of this EA as there are next versions of this system: Phoenix EA https://www.mql5.com/en/forum/trading_systems and this Phoenix Ea does not having this "flying case on 5th".

I am testing Firebird because it is old classical EA.

Firebird

Hi,

Is it bad on the 5th or around the 5th...........meaning durig non farm payroll?

Is it profitable in any version?

Can it be traded profitably if you skip the 5th?

Are their members who will program a new EA if I have a good Indicator with the times to trade?

Thanks for your response,

Scott
