Trade Template Panel MT5 — User Manual
Version 1.00

Four reusable trade setups for manual market and pending orders. You choose the trade; the panel calculates volume and stop-loss/take-profit levels from your settings.

1. SET UP YOUR TEMPLATES

Attach the panel to the chart you want to trade and enable Algo Trading.

Open EA Inputs to configure Setup 1–4. Each setup can have its own:

  • Button label.

  • Stop-loss distance.

  • Take-profit settings.

  • Risk percentage or fixed-lot override.

  • Order comment tag.

All distances use broker points. For example, if one point is 0.01, a 1000-point stop represents a price distance of 10.00.

Check the point size for your instrument. The same settings will not suit every symbol.

2. CHOOSE YOUR TAKE PROFIT

Take Profit Mode applies to all four setups.

R Multiple: TP uses the setup’s stop distance multiplied by its R target. A 1000-point SL with a 2R target gives a 2000-point TP.

Fixed Points: TP uses the setup’s TP Points value directly.

The starting templates use a 1000-point SL with targets of 1R, 2R, 3R and 4R. These are example settings—adjust them for your trading.

3. CHOOSE YOUR SIZING

Select a setup, then click the sizing mode button to switch between LOTS and RISK %.

LOTS: Enter the volume you want to trade. The panel also estimates the percentage risk.

RISK %: Enter a percentage of account balance. The panel calculates the volume from your stop distance.

For example, 0.10 means 0.10%, not 10%.

Use + and − or edit the sizing value directly.

EA Inputs are your saved defaults. Changes made on the panel are temporary. Selecting a setup restores its configured sizing default.

A setup override of 0 uses the main default. A positive override gives that setup its own sizing value.

4. PLACE A MARKET ORDER

Select your setup and sizing, then click BUY MARKET or SELL MARKET.

Clicking submits the order immediately. With duplicate-click protection enabled, the buttons briefly lock during the cooldown.

The cooldown shows that a submission was attempted; it does not prove the order was accepted.

Check the actual volume, entry, SL and TP in MT5’s Trade tab. Use MT5’s normal controls to modify or close the position.

5. PLACE A PENDING ORDER

Enter your desired price in Pending Entry Price, then click PENDING BUY or PENDING SELL.

The order type is selected automatically:

  • Buy above the current Ask: Buy Stop.

  • Buy below the current Ask: Buy Limit.

  • Sell below the current Bid: Sell Stop.

  • Sell above the current Bid: Sell Limit.

SL and TP are calculated from the pending entry price.

Avoid entering a price equal to the current quote. Broker minimum-distance rules still apply.

Changing or clearing the entry field does not cancel an existing pending order. Modify or delete it in MT5.

6. USE PRICE ALERTS

Click SL or TP to turn its chart alert on or off. Drag the selected alert line to the price you want.

With the default settings, a panel market trade enables alerts at its calculated SL and TP.

Placing a pending order alone does not move the alert lines. Automatic detection can place them after it becomes a live position.

Moving an alert line changes its notification price only. It does not change the position’s actual stop loss or take profit.

CLR in the Alerts row disables both alerts. It does not close a trade, remove its stops or cancel pending orders.

By default:

  • Each line alerts once until moved or reset.

  • Either alert triggering disables both alerts.

  • Push notifications and log messages are enabled.

  • Popup notifications are disabled.

Configure mobile notifications in Tools → Options → Notifications in MT5.

There is one shared SL/TP alert pair. Automatic placement avoids choosing between multiple live positions on the symbol.

Keep MT5 running and connected. Alerts check prices about once per second and may miss brief crossings.

7. OPTIONAL CONTROLS

Maximum Spread: Blocks market orders above the configured spread. The default is 200 broker points; 0 disables it. Pending-order placement bypasses this filter.

Duplicate-Click Protection: Helps prevent repeated submissions from rapid clicks. The default cooldown is three seconds.

Block New Order if Position Exists: Blocks submissions when any live position exists on the current symbol. Disabled by default.

New-Trade Cutoff: Stops new submissions after a chosen weekday and broker-server hour. Disabled by default, with Friday 21:00 configured.

The cutoff does not close positions, cancel pending orders or prevent existing pending orders from triggering.

Entry Distance: Compares a proposed entry with a reference price you set on the panel. Enable the feature and its display controls, then enter a reference.

Optional blocking limits adverse entry distance in R while allowing better prices. No positive reference means no distance block.

Order Identification: Set a magic number and comment prefix for panel orders. Each setup can also append its own order tag.

Panel Appearance: Adjust the panel position and font sizes in Inputs.

8. UNDERSTAND THE RISK DISPLAY

Risk is an estimate based on account balance, stop distance and broker symbol information.

Commission, swaps, slippage and gaps can cause actual losses to differ.

Order prices are aligned to the symbol’s permitted tick size. Submitted volume may differ slightly from the preview if alignment changes the stop distance.

Strict Risk Sizing rounds percentage-based volume down. It is disabled by default; normal sizing allows a small built-in tolerance.

Neither mode guarantees a maximum actual loss.

When calculated volume is below the broker minimum, the default is to block the trade. Choosing minimum-lot warning mode can result in more risk than requested.

9. IF SOMETHING DOES NOT WORK

Order blocked: Read the message. Check Algo Trading, spread, broker distances and any optional restrictions you enabled.

Push notification missing: Test MT5’s notification settings and check the terminal connection.

Alert lines differ from trade stops: The lines are separate alerts. Check the actual position in MT5, especially after dragging lines or modifying a trade.

IMPORTANT

Test your settings on a demo account before live use.

The panel does not generate signals, enforce an account-wide daily loss limit or automatically manage exits.

Manage your open positions and pending orders using MT5’s normal controls.
