Yes, Kingdom Hunter Gold runs on a $1,000 account. Its live account on MQL5 Signals started with exactly $1,000, and in the Strategy Tester, the same test from a $1,000 deposit takes the same 7,359 trades as the $3,000 run on the product page, with the same profit factor of 4.39. A smaller account changes the size of each position, not which trades the EA takes. This post shows how that works, why the live equity line swings wider until the balance reaches about $1,430, and what to expect if you start with $1,000.

WHAT THE LIVE PAGE SHOWS

Read from the public signal page on 4 October 2026:
Balance: $1,312.47, up 31.25% from $1,000
Trades: 134, of which 95 (70.9%) closed in profit
Profit factor: 2.43
Maximum balance drawdown: 7.34%
Maximum equity drawdown: 45.51%

Balance drawdown counts closed trades. Equity drawdown also counts positions while they are still open. The 45.51% came from a single episode on 25 September, while positions were open, and it lasted about two hours. On closed trades, the balance drawdown stays at 7.34%. In the $3,000 Strategy Tester run on the product page, the maximum equity drawdown is 33.08%. The next section explains the difference.

THE SMALLEST LOT IS THE REASON

Kingdom Hunter Gold sizes every position from the account balance. The default Hunter profile is designed to trade about 0.007 lot per $1,000 of balance. On most brokers the smallest XAUUSD lot is 0.01, and no EA can open less than that.

On a $1,000 account, 0.007 lot does not exist, so each position opens at 0.01 lot: about 1.4 times the designed size. That is exactly the size the Apex profile, the largest of the four, uses at $1,000. In the published profile tests, Apex shows a maximum equity drawdown of 46.03%. The live 45.51% sits right next to it. The live account has been trading at Apex size because of the minimum lot, not because anything in the EA changed.

At $3,000, the designed size is about 0.021 lot, which the EA opens as 0.02. That is the configuration behind the 33.08% on the product page, and it is why the product page recommends $3,000.

WHY $1,000 STILL WORKS

The minimum lot changes the size of each position. It does not change which trades the EA takes. The Strategy Tester shows it: the same test from a $1,000 deposit, with every other setting unchanged, produces the same 7,359 trades as the $3,000 run.

From $1,000, that run finished at about $3.68 million, 3,680 times the deposit, with a profit factor of 4.39 and a maximum equity drawdown of 33.07%. Its deepest baskets came later in the test, after the balance had already grown past the early minimum-lot stage.

That stage also ends by itself. At about $1,430 of balance, 0.01 lot is exactly the designed size, and from there positions are at or below the designed size. The live account, now at $1,312.47, is already close to that point, and it is up 31.25% in its first two weeks.

STARTING WITH $1,000: WHAT TO EXPECT

1. Until the balance reaches about $1,430, expect equity swings like the Apex profile's, which reached the mid-40% range in the test while baskets were open. A past maximum is not a limit on the future.
2. Use leverage of 1:100 or higher, so open positions have margin room.
3. First run the free demo in the Strategy Tester with a $1,000 deposit, and watch the equity line, not only the balance.
4. If you want the swings of the published test from day one, start with $3,000.
